I'm expecting better D early on

Better QB play - awful last year- Harris starter

Great pass D - maybe best in country if we get pressure

from front 4

With better QB play our running game will be special

Open season 3-0

Cowboys 34 - 6
MSU 24 - 10
Auburn. 27 - 24

Cowboys 31-21 (typical first game with confusion, miss communications and penalties, but talent overwhelms)

MSU 20-24 (more confusion, but a much better performance on both sides of the ball; improvement was made but too late)

Auburn. 17-31 (improvement in all 3 phases of the game; defensive line gets beat up, but some consistency was found on offense; just beat by a better team who is further along in its development after 2 games)

1-2

McNeese: Take care of business, lots of run plays, win fairly easily. Biggest news is that Harris is the starting QB.
MSU: Close throughout, but despite some miscues on offense, we pull ahead by double figures in the 4th quarter to win in Starkville.
Auburn: Tiger Stadium will be rocking, despite it being a day game. Harris has a breakout game and leads LSU to a thrilling, last-minute victory, raising expectations for the rest of the season.

The Auburn game defines the season and Miles future

He knows - Why CIA ops at closed practices

Cowboys - plain vanilla

MSU - basic plus just enough

Auburn - all of it

The only way this HELPS define Miles career is if LSU wins. That would make a special season more possible. A loss and win out the season and he will be seen as tGoat. Only 3rd game of season not going to be earth shattering unless he hands auburn an as whooping.

time for you jokes on here to put up or shut up.

Ban bet that LSU does not start 1-2? Don't be a pussy, do it. You guys love trying to bash, why don't you back it up? I'm guessing I won't hear from you.

McNeese: looks like every other game LSU plays against FBS schools.

Miss St.: won't be as easy as a lot of posters will predict. Away game at night might be difficult for Harris who knows the fan base is expecting a lot. Hopefully the coaches and rest of the team can put him in a good position to be successful. Score stays close, but we wear down their newly-minted starters bu the 4th quarter and win by 2 TDs.

Auburn: enormously important game for many reasons. I can't anticipate what will happen here until after I see us again Miss St. Could go a lot of different ways.

I just don't see Auburn like everyone else does apparently. I see a team that wasn't that good last year and caught us perfectly while we weren't that good at the time ourselves. Auburn got worse after that game, while LSU improved significantly. In addition, Auburn returns only 4 starters on offense, and a defense, despite adding muschamp, that wasn't that good last year. I guess time will tell.

When I say his future might be a reach but we expect top tier program. He preaches top tier we recruit top tier

After BCS game vs Bama we have had a slide down - Beating Auburn with Harris at QB going 3-0 with a
Passing Game and LF7 wow it's on

What's funny is the folk that hate Les say it's impossible

McNeese: As stated, basics = big win.

MSU: The surprise is that when MSU stacks the line, we pass and pick them apart, yielding big running plays. Big win.

Auburn: Tough one, but Auburn has seen both the run and the pass out of LSU by now. AU will try to simply outscore us. We'll play the nickel most of the game and pull it out somehow.

Every school has a new team. New players. New leaders. Different schedule. Point is, the only thing that indicates how teams are going to do against each other is the above, and the perception of the head coach and his staff. Miles' doesn't have the best reputation in the media. He's a goof. His teams typically get better as the year goes on but seem to have problems with consistency, discipline, sideline confusion, curious play calling and identity early. Other coaches, seem to address these ares earlier. Injuries, turnovers, 3rd down conversions and most importantly, O and D line play are the keys...

Sorry to the delusional morons on here, but that's the way it is...

The only other time I've been to an LSU/State game in Starkville, was Thursday night 2011. State fans were pumped up with high expectations then too. I will be going to this game again, at night. Going to be the start of another 2011 type run imo. Only difference is that we finally use the secret playbook at the end this time. I kid.

McNeese - sloppy at first. Couple boneheaded penalties. Very conservative game plan. Big half time lead allows some young guys playing time. Guice scores on a long TD, gets 100+ yards. Donte Jackson gets a kickoff or punt return for TD. ( I know Les doesn't run up the score but I think a couple long plays allows it to get bad) 73- 10

State - Same old offense from past. A couple short passes with nice runs after the catch make the numbers look better. Defense is bend but don't break. Williams wears down the State defense and Fournette finishes them off with a heisman highlight TD. 27-13

Auburn - Secret playbook finally comes out after 10 seasons. Game is so out of control that Kragthorpe plays the 2nd half....or....I think LSU gets Auburn at the perfect time. Early enough in the season that I don't think Muschamp with have them playing like they will be later in the season. Cameron attacks the Auburn secondary early and it opens some big holes in the running game. Defense begins to gel, forces some turnovers. Late Ricky Jefferson Int seals the game. 23-17

Let me be as honest as I can.

LSU 41 MSU 13 (1-0)
LSU 31 MSU 10 (2-0)
LSU 38 AUB 20 (3-0)

Sure I am biased as to LSU winning, but the scores are based on research of LSU, McNeese, MSU, and AU.
1) McNeese is not a caliber program like LSU.
2) MSU is nothing like they were last year. We focus on Dak and I see them scoring less than McNeese.
3) AU will be a challenge, but at home in Death Valley, they keep it close for the 1st Quarter and half of the 2nd Quarter. We lead at halftime.

This is for all 3 games. Midway through the 3rd Quarter we start leaning on them with our huge OL and huge RB's, like Ducre and Williams. No one will want a piece of our big backs by the 4th Quarter. Fournette Gets 100+ yards rushing before the half. He also has 40 yards receiving. If he returns Kickoffs, tack on another 100+ total yards. So he ends up with like 275 all purpose yards in mostly the first half alone.
