This phrase needs to die a thousand deaths.
Why? It's capturing an actual phenomenon.
I prefer the "feminization" of America myself.
Feminized traits are put on a pedestal in society whereas male traits are now seen as negative.
Boys in school get in trouble for not acting like girls act.
Acting like a girl is now seen as the "correct" way to act and boys are punished by not adhering.
Boys are 90% more likely to be deemed "problems" and put in special ed.

I'm with you. What I really meant to say is that "pussification of America" is so overused now and maybe sometimes it's warranted, but I saw someone use it the other day when a highlight of a female football player making a tackle was posted. If you're bothered by girls playing football then you're a pussy. What do people think--that they're going to start playing quarterback and defensive back and O linewoman? I just think people get so unnecessarily sensitive when it comes to the very rare occasion of a woman playing KICKER. --a little off topic but every time I see that phrase now I roll my eyes. If more people used "feminization of America" it probably wouldn't bother me as much.
