Sure, it is. The whole point of creating a new facility for something is to make an improvement, which they definitely did.

It's not my point. They could have probably made it nicer than the old facility with a $400,000 facility.

Being nicer than the old facility is hardly a barometer when you take on a project like this.

Here is the indoor facitily at Georgia. The Dogs have always supported tennis like it is a major sport.

Florida just built their indoor tennis facility in 2012, and it looks about like what LSU built. I tried Googling what the Gators spent, and it said $1.4 million, which actually sounds kind of cheap.

Don't get me wrong it's pretty nice. The industrial siding really isnt even THAT big of a deal i suppose. But the lack of canopy is just the one glaring weakness imo.

Well it definitely looks nicer than that.

It does look like more was spent. And the only thing I saw on LSU construction costs was a total for the entire complex, not just the indoor set up. Tennis will never be a money maker so I would imagine these upgrades are going to need to last a long time.

Canopies are cheap. They will add one eventually.

Your thread is a joke. It just proves you continue to bitch about everything LSU does.

That's a damn fine looking tennis facility. It rivals almost every university tennis facility in the country.

Your gripe about no cover for the outdoor courts is just typical bitching by you. The tennis season is going on right now. Most people would love to sit in the sun rather than the shade during February and March.

If you actually read the first post you will see where i said i thought it was nice but it has several issues. You just read what you want to read though. Just a miserable old man.

It would have been prohibitively expensive for the entire building to have a masonry finish. That building is friggin' huge.

Seems like fans would prefer to sit in the sun this time of year. The season is over before it gets hot.

Perhaps. I've been to some really hot tennis matches though where the canopy was much needed.

Now if there was a match today no doubt. It's chilly out.

That is not the indoor facility at Georgia. That is some brick building that is next to the tennis courts. It's probably the associated with the program, but certainly not where tennis is played. Here:

Don't know what the outside looks like, but I'm guessing it isn't that different from LSU's.

the buildings on Choctaw are pretty old. LSU went for a more modern industrial maintenance shop look like the ones you see on Hwy. 30 in Geismar.
