No one should care about a dumb arse blogger, you are right, but it is still about respect is it not? People across the country think Coach Miles is a terrible coach, and they will soon find out about this LSU team with Coach Miles' recruits. The Shepard shall lead the flock in the coming years and Les Miles' recruits will get him some respect dammit because he gets none across the country as far as other fan bases and the media is concerned. That is why I played sports is for people to respect what I had worked so hard for. The quote has been stated on here many times "People are going to learn to respect LSU, if they don't we're gonna bust them in the mouth" RIP Marquise Hill. That's damn right.

I agree, who cares what that dip says. Let everyone keep bashing Miles. I'll take SEC and National hardware and an underrated coach ANYDAY!

FWIW, I like Miles and I think he's a great coach. I can't wait to see what he, crowton, and chavis can do with these players!

We shouldn't get worked up about this one random jack-arse but I would be lying if it didn't agitate me some. Mark Richt being that high is an absolute joke too... he always underperforms.

I can't understand the basis where people get that Les is not a good coach. He has proven he can recruit, win with talent, and make change wherever is needed to improve this football team. Look at the 07 Florida game and the decisions he made to help LSU win that game. The players had full confidence in him and they still do. It is a given Les will never get the respect he deserves as a coach in the media and I don't think he really cares. He will do what it takes to win football games.

that guys list is a joke... i would definately put tressel over stoops... richt is too high... Bobby Johnson and Bobby Petrino are both too high... the only one he has dead on would be Meyer... I hate the guy but he is the best coach... i put Carroll over Saban... USC would have raped Utah... Saban is always overinflated.

I DO NOT think Les Miles is the best coach in nation or SEC. But, he is a top 10 coach no matter what you say. I was appalled that Mark Dantonio (Michigan State), Kirk Ferentz (Iowa), Jeff Tedford (Cal), FAU Coach ( ), Leach, Paul Johnson, Bobby Petrino, and Jim Grobe (Wake Forest) were over Miles. While good coaches, they haven't done anything compared to Miles' accomplishments. They do not have to play the Floridas, Auburns, and Bamas year after year. I have been rough on Miles at times and question a good majority of his decisions, but I would still regard him as a top 10 coach. One bad season and he drops to #24??? He just won a Nat'l Champ 2 seasons ago!

Oh well...opinions are opinions.

P.S. Gary Patterson (TCU) = Heavily underrated.

kirk ferentz?

based on what? all those 6-5 seasons?

Joe paterno? what does he do these days besides motivate?

howard schnellenberger? ha.

jim grobe, bobby johnson...who just got utterly obliterated by les miles. Jeff tedford and mark dantonio? what have any of these guys done?

Not to mention Bob Stoops who has choked in almost every single big game he has ever been in.

remember, anyone can post on the internet. look at kige.

Took them to a Rose Bowl and a last second field goal away from the National Championship this past season. All time winningest coach...you GOT to have him up there.

that list really is bad

look where he has Houston Nutt, like 40th or something, come on, Nutt is a hell of a coach

whats with the double standard b/t Saban and Miles or any or coach that has inherited talent and won? Saban inherited some fine talent at Bama but no one gives Shula cred, why doesnt Miles get the same benefit of the doubt?

FWI, Saban did have a bunch of new guys (freshman and juco) that played a bunch and made significant impacts.

Miles may not be a top 10 regular season football coach, but he is undoubtedly one of the top 10 coaches, over the last 2 decades, in post season. What his LSU teams have done in the postseason is remarkable:

I checked this website's home page and found this:

quote:

Dixie Fried Sports is a fan site dedicated to those who love sports in the south. Justin F. Cannon and Matt Barber provide for you an alternative from the Big 10 lovers at ESPN and other media outlets who seem to do all they can to put down Southern Sports.

So, in other words, these are two Southern guys who think the rest of the sports world has it in for teams and conferences in the south. Two fans who started a site because they have a persecution complex. So, they're a lot like many of the people who read this site. They think ESPN is out to get the SEC. They think the South gets picked on by schoolyard bullies. Boo-fricking-hoo.

I hate to break this to you, but there are people in other parts of the country who do dog the SEC. I'll bet they have fans with websites that are even harsher to Miles than this site is with the post that got you all riled up. Do yourself a favor and grow a thick skin, or you will never run out of sites that make you mad. There are probably about 1,234,024 posts and sites that have an opinion other than yours, and you'll never keep up.

It's not like this came from some reputable outlet with at least a shred of accountability.
