I'd love for it to be 70/30 LSU, but I see it being more like 55/45 or 60/40

I think we'll have ~34,000 in the dome and 75,000 outside getting shitfaced.

Maybe.

I'm thinking we'll have ~65% in the dome, and a million outside wasted and causing havoc.

Considering how expensive the tickets are, I'd say there would be a large percentage of neutral fans who just have a little interest in one or both teams.

So what you're saying is people are going to purchase expensive tickets to watch a game they care little about. Over diehards at that. OK.

Me this to sense no makes.

Itll be 50/50. If not worse. Bama fans who werent able to go to Pasadena in 2009 will be shelling out $$$ to go. A lot of LSU fans have "been there done that" and are making $$$ this time.

And Bama fans are more likely to mortgage their houses for this than LSU fans.

if LSU cannot pull off the same ratio, we should be ashamed of ourselves....

Well prepare to be ashamed because it ain't happening.

Bama fans will flock in droves to this game because a lot of them probably couldn't go to Pasadena in 2009. Lots of LSU fans are selling tickets and I can't help but be surprised.

We're undefeated and playing for the national title against our hated rivals in our own home state. You'd think that LSU fans would do everything in their power to keep as many Gumps out of the Dome as possible. Instead we are unloading tickets left and right, just to make a quick buck. I don't get it.

Good ratio considering gumps are pretty poor

Not sure where your poor idea comes from? We're all southerners, but even that has afforded Bama fans/boosters to conjure up a $32 million dollar contract for Saban, expand the stadium not once but twice in the last 5-6 years, and take 50,000+ to Pasadena for the 09 NC game. If that makes us 'poor' then I guess we are guilty.

Since when does the entire fanbase=athletic department/rich boosters? Every school has some of those(some more than others).

I am talking about the alabama fanbase in general terms. I know bama fans like to come back with the whole "but the tickets are split 50/50!" to try to act like it won't be a home game for LSU, but convincing yourselves won't work. It IS a home game, despite how many fans you think you are gonna bring, it will be a majority of tiger fans.

We'll see how McCarron does on the biggest stage of them all in enemy territory. Now granted, it ain't no tiger stadium, but if you were at the 07 title game, you'd know tiger fans can make the place shake.

I was there too and there weren't 50,000 Bama fans in the Rose Bowl.
Maybe 50,000 total between those inside and those outside the stadium.
