What is so difficult about the LSU offense? It's not like Harris has to read defenses to figure out which receiver to throw to in a five WR set. Most teams play us man to man and put 8 in the box. Harris is late on his throws and inaccurate. It's either him not performing or poor coaching, but there is not a lot of decision making required. What's required is accuracy and on time throws.

Speaking of Jennings, in his first game with ULL he completed a higher percentage of passes than in his entire LSU career. I'm not suggesting Harris is otherworldly, but he has the tools. Unfortunately he's seldom in a position where they can shine.

Harris was accurate and confident in HS. He absolutely lit it up.

The fact that a kid lights it up vs high school defenses is of fairly limited relevance. Whether he has the skills and intelligence to adapt to the faster, more complicated top tier college game is a question our coaches don't seem to be focused on when recruiting high school QBs.
