We've Seen This Quarterback Controversy Before

It cost us a championship in 2011. I remember thinking how foolish the coaching staff was for making Mettenberger sit on the bench all year while less talented Lee and Jefferson played every game in that boring, predictable Iformation offense. He only got to play cleanup duty in 1-2 games. By not letting him play, he was never ready to play a snap in 2011 sec play or in 2012 for that matter. It was a myopic decisin by our head coach and it didnt set up our team for success offensively. This is a coach that has proven that he will play a QB with more seniority or experience over the more talented option. I wonder how stupid Miles feels now after letting an NFL starter sit on the bench behind Lee and Jefferson in a national championship season. As a result we lose the championship due to the lack of adequate QB play.
Same thing is happening this year and probably next year. We have a very talented, possibly future NFL Quarterback sitting on the bench for a majority of the games. Instead of letting both quaterbacks play and gain experience like Miles said before the season and several games, he has lied to the fanbase and media once again. He was never going to play Harris in the Bama game in any special package. It just leaves more question marks about his decision making and the future of this team's offense. Im not going to question the coaches decison on saturday in the bama game but the least he could do is tell us the truth.
Instead of using this rebuilding year to to prepare two quarterbacks for next year, he has put all of his eggs in one basket with less talented Jennings. The lack of experience bodes badly for Harris next season and theres a VERY good chance that he wont see the field during SEC play because Miles will always go with the more experienced Quarterback no matter what the results as we have seen in past years.
I hope that he proves me wrong and that he'll play the better option for the remainder of this season and next year.

I really wish some of you idiots would just take a fricking break from LSU football.

LSU did not run a predictable I-formation offense in 2011. You must have missed all the read option they ran. Or you are a trolling imbecile. I'm going with the latter.

Jarret Lee ran the read option?

My all time favorite was against Tennessee in 2010 when Jefferson was stinking it up all season. Miles finally puts in Lee, who leads us all the way down the field for a chance to win. But instead of letting Lee finishing out the drive, we insert JJ, who has no clue what to do and time runs out. We were bailed out by Tennessee, who was equally confused by all of the BS, and ended up getting an untimed play where Ridley ran it in.

We didnt have mettenberger that year. Im talking about Miles forcing an NFL starter to sit on the bench behind Lee and Jefferson for an entire season.

Implying Zach was an NFL caliber quarterback in 2011 is ridiculuous after his terrible performance in 2012.

I keep seeing this, but it's not true. we'd kill for that kind of output this year. It was inconsistent, but far from terrible.

How someone can complain about an undefeated regular season is beyond me. That's like complaining about a free lunch. To use 2011 as a basis for criticizing 2014 QB play is just dumb. You, sir, just don't understand football. 2011 was LSU football.

The point is that miles will never plau the younger backup even if he is more talented

This will remain a bullshite assertion no matter how many times you clowns repeat it. I'll be here to remind you that some of us are capable of recalling shite that happened three years ago every time one of you rolls this out.
