It's certainly part of it. And I don't know, perhaps MSU had something to with it as well. Yall are acting like we barely beat some scrub team. Going into their house and largely shutting down an offense that demoralized our defense last year is a pretty big accomplishment.

To be fair, this ranking should be against teams who faced the same opponents the Tigers faced.

I just can't take this seriously considering 90% don't have to face sec opponents.

These are all Net Yardage Total Leaders from ESPN.com's stats.

2008 - 5th out of 12 teams in SEC Total Offense
2009 - 11th out of 12 teams in SEC Total Offense
2010 - 11th out of 12 teams in SEC Total Offense
2012 - 10th out of 14 teams in SEC Total Offense
2014 - 14th out of 14 teams in SEC Total Offense

Again as I said...atrocious offensive performances.

It was a big accomplishment, I totally agree. But we barely beat a team that we shouldn't have had to "barely beat".....

Get my point?

It was a great win, so I'll leave it at that. Hopefully Les will grow a pair over the next week.

2010 team beat Alabama and almost Auburn with Cam Newton

Eta: we had stud at OC for a couple of those awful years, 2013 mett with cam was a thing of beauty compared to 2012 mett with stud

No, because I don't get why you expected us to blow them out. Ranked division rival on the road, tune up game got cancelled, QB that owned us last year back. How could you see that and say LSU should blow them out?

Wait, when did I say I expected a blowout???

Sigh.....

Whether we won or lost the game fell into the hands of Moo State, after we completely dominated them for the majority of the game. If you're okay with that, then more power to you.

Looking forward to taking down Auburn.

You said we shouldn't have had to barely beat them to meet your expectations; therefore, one can assume that you expected us to win comfortably.

I guess I'll rephrase the question since you're back pedaling already. With all the factors I mentioned in my previous post, why would you expect a comfortable and easy win?

Then I guess you agree that we beat ourselves last year against them since we had a ball in the air that would have beaten them as well? I'm guessing that won't fit your narrative though.

I'll bookmark, and ask you where MSU is ranked when the season is over.

Legit concern except for the fact that we were awesome out of the gate and didn't get off to a slow start.

How much of his offensive line returned, backfield, receivers?

I watched the first quarter and half and saw a vastly superior LSU team. But then we reverted to a goalline offense for the last 2 and a half quarters and gave MSU a chance to win the game on their last drive.

Who says we shouldn't have "barely beat" them? They sculldrug us last year at home.

Not surprising since you're one of the usual suspects just waiting for LSU to lose so you bash away.

Miles has a habit of making blowout games very close just because the guy is conservative as shite.

No back pedaling my friend, you have me confused with someone stupid or something.....don't make that mistake young one!

Assumptions are stupid to make, I never expected a blowout, PERIOD! You can make excuses for a coach who chooses to play in fear, than to exert fear all you want.

I am proud of how our football team played. But no one with any common sense can walk away from that game questioning the decision-making late in that game.

And no, we were thoroughly beaten last year with a chance to still win........just like Moo State was this year, thoroughly beaten with a chance to still win..... ; that's poor coaching and horrible decision-making against an opponent worthy of getting back into a game quickly.

Believe what you want, but I'm holding serve

Again,

Les has always struggled with the offense and QBs not in their 4th or 5th years since Jimbo left, and in many cases they were guys he didn't recruit out of high school.

If you look at things, since Jimbo left, his two legit offensive seasons came with 2 RS SR QBs (2007 and 2013, both with new coordinators coaching them. The third great offense was the same. First year a new coordinator came in and we had the third good offensive output in 2011 with a SR and RS SR QB.

Les will simply struggles with offense and bringing along young guys unlike many other coaches, and the sad thing seems that since Fisher, the only way for him to get a legit offense is to fire the OC and bring in a new one each year.

Every post I have made suggesting my opinion of Jefferson being better than Mills has been removed also.

Therefore, Mills and Jefferson are totally equal in every facet of the game and I have no opinion on the subject...
