Could he still go to Harvard if he wanted to? Not saying I want him to, but if he is not likely to play here (Etling, Mcmillan, Narcisse, Brennan) and could still get a Harvard education for free...I just want what's best for the kid.

i really like scott, he can make dynamic plays, hope they have a really good plan for him like what they did with perrilloux in some games, and put him in slot receiver, mix it up with him. smart kid with dynamic plays

I've never seen a place that regurgitates so much bullshite thats easily proven false.

He had an offer on the table to play football and get a free education. My wife was his counselor at Zachary. They don't give away "athletic scholarships" but they have workarounds for a lot of athletes to not pay for the education.
Lol

Cody is talking about the hype that is surrounding Scott. But he belives that Etling and McMillan are better QB's right now. He talked about how Scott will show off his athletic ability, and will make some very nice throws, but he's very inconsistent in his throws. He used the word sporadic.
Said it once, and I'll say it again. I saw multiple "WHOLE" practices, and multiple "WHOLE" scrimmages. The media had to leave after the first 15 minutes of practices (That includes Cody Worrisome). ALLLLL of the QBs were sporadic. The difference that I saw between one QB and the next, was really rep count. Scott and Narcisse were never given serious reps.

I hate to be like that, but the media doesnt see one full practice, yet they are expected to speak on topics. I saw days where each of these guys were God awful. When you give any ONE of them the reps, their consistency shot up.

Anyone have insight to the root cause for the inconsistency? Is it physical (e.g. mechanics) or mental (e.g. reads, processing)?
Yes. When Etling had to share a chunk of the reps with McMillan and Scott, he became less consistent. Scott and McMillan improved when the reps were more equal. Staff invested most of the reps towards getting Etling comfortable. Scott and Narcisse were asked many times to jump in for the last 3 reps of many sessions.

Scott was a 64% passer his senior year of high school. I dont buy he's really inconsistent in the passing game. Harris was absolutely inconsistent in the passing game,. which probably explains why in high school he hovered around a 50% completion percentage.
Smart man. Its tough when coaches have to decide how to divide reps between 5 guys. I would have liked to see a real competition this spring. Though I do understand that they needed to get Etling ready. I saw the scrimmages. Scott was the only QB to find the endzone through the air in at least two scrimmages.

JUST STOP! Harvard offers its athletes free money from a large endowment. Its not called a scholarship. The affect is the same. Some people here do know what they are talking about.

Kid is a gamer. Bottom line. I never profess to know what will happen, but don't be surprised.

Just for the sake of you and your families privacy I wouldn't include this.

We haven't had a QB that wasn't sporadic in over a decade.

I've tried to nail this down several times, because I have reason to doubt Scott was ever accepted at Harvard, which is the most difficult part of playing for their football team.
As best I can determine, Scott's coach said he "passed on an opportunity to play there" ,which likely means one ( or more) of the the Harvard coaches expressed an interest. The timing of this report would have been at least six months before the school made its acceptance decisions.
If some else knows more, please advise, because I keep hearing this story of him rejecting an offer from Harvard. If he was accepted, he likely would have qualified for one or more scholarships.

Could be a year older and one more year in the program.
Scott is only in his 2nd year
Why give up on a good athlete
Who knows what is in the works this season with injuries etc
McMillian may not perform in a game situation and Scott might just surprise you.

Thats why you turn doubters into believers. Lindsey been facing adversity his whole life, he not about to give up now.

Well that's fine. But when Scott signed, he signed behind Harris and Etling. I don't think he expected that Harris would have transferred

Based on what? according to your Avi info you are in Juneau, AK. I live next to the stadium that LS played HS ball in and I have seen in depth what he can do. I am not saying right now that LS is the messiah but I have not seen any traction out of McMillan and he is a year ahead of LS. LS passed him last season on the depth chart at one point...
