Welcome to SoCal LSU fans. My tailgating tips:

Read the Rose Bowl Rules: LINK
They are strict with the rules, print them and know that you won't be able to bend them.
Driving: Go to the north side of the stadium - 210 Freeyway exit at Windsor/Arroyo. Windsor is to the north of the freeway and Arroyo takes you to the Rose Bowl.
Park on the golf courses. The greens are off limits. Never ever ever drive into a sand trap.
Bring a football - there's enough space on the fairways to throw it around and even have impromptu casual mini games.
Weed is legal. I'll be bringing gummies. I have seen people smoking weed in the designated smoking area inside the stadium grounds but outside the seats - western side of the stadium.
Alcohol - there are probably some rules about it on the golf courses, but just be cool with it - keep it in a brown bag, cups, or cans. Any security will be focused on safety - so walking around with glass could get you stopped, but that's never happened to me. Take is slow - if it's sunny and dry you can get loaded quicker than you might think. No alcohol vendors on the golf course - maybe one at the golf course club house. There's some alcohol inside the stadium now (just one or two vendors)- it was banned for a number of years.
Sometimes, if you're lucky and driving a Honda, you're paking fee will be covered by someone wearing a light blue Honda shirt will cover your parking fee - I've had that happen three times
It's slow to get into the stadium and also into the seats. This game won't be sold out, but when it is sold out and I've parked rather far away on the golf course, it takes nearly a full hour to go from the car to the seat.
The visitors have possession of the Brookside golf course clubhouse. Other organized alumni-based tailgating is typically located adjacent to the stadium on the eastern side.
If you are taking public transportation, again add extra time. Of course, the closer to game time the slower it will go. I've also taken the buses from the old Parsons parking lot in Pasadena and it took much longer than I had anticipated. I'm not sure the Parsons lot is still available since the Parsons building has been demolished.
Make sure you bring Shaq with you and have him give some love to the UCLA side - his son was a UCLA basketball player and the UCLA doctors found a problem with his heart and performed the surgery.
This is a party, have fun and relax - that'll get to our no expectations level...and then we'll have a game.
By the way, what's the LSU record for most rushing yards allowed in a game?

I know you mean well, but everything about that post reads like a single A baseball fan giving instructions to the New York Yankees or a Boy band giving pointers to Led Zeppelin. Cringeworthy.

Not sure what OP means regarding brown bags necessary for the tailgating area. I've walked around with beer cans for years, there are no open container rules as far as I know. Also, one or two beer vendors in the stadium? Last week they were selling beer every 50 feet, they were even selling beer at your seats, so no idea where that came from. There's also a beer garden on the north end of the stadium if you want to stand around and watch some other games on TVs.

The rushing record against us certainly wont be broken by UCLA

Ask Shaun Alexander of Alabama. I think he’s still running. And it’s cute your fantasy life is so rich it would allow you to imagine UCLol would threaten it . I mean I get that the stuff at the dispensary is solid AF , but c’mon West Coast guy. This is not PAC 10 lesbian dance therapy, these are the big boys coming to de- pants you on National television.
