After working on ball control drills, the RBs joined the LBs for joint work. The RBs were working to block a blitzing LB from getting to the dummy QB. The LBs absolutely owned this drill and Frank Wilson was not happy at all.

I don't know if this is better for the LBs or worse for the RBs

WTF...

If I'd have just posted the link, you still would have read that paragraph the same way and shite your pants.

At least I got it out the way to let you know he's OK. Blame Moscona, not me.

James Wright scored a surprising win over Eric Reid. He has excelled in every blocking drill the WRs have done so far in camp.

I like this, I think he will see the field a lot, especially if he block this well.

Kind of surprising but also good, I always worry about Russell getting killed over the middle.

Funny, if you read Rosetta's report on TSD, he says the RBs fared well against the LBs, with only Gore struggling and Ryan Baker beating Alfred Blue once. Said that Karnell Hatcher was the least effective blitzing LB. The RBs were supposed to hold the LBs off the QB dummy for 5 seconds. That's a LONG time to have to hold off a blitzer, when most QBs have thrown the ball long before the 5 second mark.

James Wright is going to surprise some people who think Landry and Beckham will automatically jump up the depth chart.

Sounds like he and Boone are sitting a bit prettier and Armand and Fobbs are more at risk.

True, but JJ's 17 step drops give the RBs a little more breathing room too.

This makes me believe he will play a lot. He wont many catches this year, but he will be on the field.

Remember, if JJ is going to be the QB he has one of the slowest releases around, so the RB's have to give him more time to deliver the ball than it is supposed to take.
