The word "performance" doesn't belong in conversation with either of these QB's IMO. Hopefully mett can give us a season free of QB debates and bullshite.

I don't really care about JJ's situation early on because who knows what actually happened. The same ones trashing JJ's character for the same rumors early on are the same ones trashing people talking about JL's possible academic issues.

Christ, you people never stop. Throw out vague accusations and hope no one rebuts it. Links??

Did you not go into any of the threads? I'm not sifting through 40 pages of threads. Go check Cptbengal's and tigerlee's post histories

Besides JJ giving the team a better chance to win ?

ignorance is bliss

Today against a decent (at best) top 25 team -
5-13, 30 yards
no first downs in the entire first half and looked completely lost the majority of the game

some of you want to get so excited about the Arkansas game, but fail to admit the truth that the majority of Jefferson's stats in that game came during garbage minutes when Arkansas had all but given up. not to mention the fact that Jefferson struggled to complete half of his passes against Western Kentucky High School including getting sacked in the end zone for a safety in that game. he also barely put up 100 yards worth of offense against Ole Piss (lol)

Lee on the other hand -

104-167, 1306 yards, 14 TD 3 INT
8-0 as starter including 5, top-25 ranked teams

Who also happened to possess the best defense we've played all year outside of Bama

Nice slanted stats by the way

Why do you care if JL has nice stats?

Ehh...

I don't think anybody can argue that JJ had a piss poor performance in the first half. I don't care how good the defense was. Our wide outs are great and he should be able to hit them more than that.

I'm no coach, and there's a good reason that I'm not, but I would have had to pull a qb swap after that first quarter. For sure halfway through the 2nd.

Yep,which is why people are skeptical about the whole QB situation.

Good thing, only one more game and a new era. A better QB

I've never disagreed. That's the beauty about having 2 guys that aren't horrible...when one has an off day, you can throw the other in.

I wasn't speaking of you in particular. Just in general.

Yea. The thing is, you pick your poison. A guy with good vision and a good arm who's scared for his life every second he spends in the pocket, or a guy who isn't scared but is clearly not a good passer and gives you a one-dimensional offense. What's a guy supposed to do

Anyone else would have quit the team by now.

He'd be F'ing crazy if he did quit. It's not like he doesn't want a MNC ring.

Play lee against weaker DLs

Play jefferson against DLs that can pressure the QB

Sure if it was that cut and dry.

Les is in the "play JJ unless he's hurt or suspended" camp. He's the coach though. He knows more about football than me (I question that sometimes though). It's just a shitty situation when the man who has to touch the ball every play is the weak link in your offense.

Reason people are perplexed, is that didn't happen. LSU receivers deserve a better QB than the consistency we have seen the past few years.

UGA was getting a ton of pressure early; maybe he figured Lee wouldn't have been much better off

I'm not even going to begin trying to figure out Miles' thought processes

Mettenberger vs Randle. If Randle or Mett have "swag" and the other don't

Apparently, only if the one that has the off day isn't JJ.
