I wouldn't have been opposed to that. I think Les knew that he would win if they didn't turn the ball over though, and one thing JJ does seem to do well is not fumble, and he can't throw a pick if he isn't throwing.

Damn near threw two in the first quarter. Good think it wasn't just Georgia's WR's that couldn't catch.

I gotta give les credit. He does a bunch of shite that makes me throw things at the TV, but he's kicking arse and taking names this year.

Yes, he is.

I would have liked to see mett do a little more mop up duty this year. He's gotta tote the load next season.

Me too. I have heard it's obvious he is the best passer of the QB's.

We may have been better off with that one loss

It's going to be tough to beat a very good saban team twice in the same year. We were lucky to get out of tonight without any serious injuries.

Ha, perhaps. And we were lucky to get out injury free. I was pissed when Brandon Taylor went down with what appeared to be a serious injury. Luckily he is fine.

Not to mention, Bama will be sweating it out all week. Their season is about to be scrutinized and dissected, and OSU has a better shot than ESPN wants you to believe.

Yea he did. And that would have changed the game for the worse probably. He is by no means a good passer.

I've heard that a few times this year also, and it isn't hard to believe. Hopefully he can get the job done next season on his own without having to deal with all this QB bullshite. With the backs we have, he doesn't have to be very good, just smart.

This is the first time LSU ever controlled their own fate in the BCS, and that's always a good thing. There will be no debate about one of the teams in the ship deserving to be there.

The way I look at it, if Miles don't think Lee can play better than JJ did today, Lee must really be horrible in practice. This is the way JJ played most of last year as well. I don't know what's going on, but that isn't a huge obstacle to overcome.

If this is true, just scrap those two and let's start the Mettenberger era as soon as JJ falters in the NCG. We know it will not happen though.

A team should never have to totally have to scheme around a QB in the SECCG.

Yea. Neither one of them is good, but that first half was pathetic offensively. I would have really liked to see mett on the field more this year. He's gotta come out the gate next year with essentially no game experience and be the man.

It's bad when you're worried about your QB loosing the game for you every week. We're lucky that we have the defense and special teams we have.

I just don't understand , 1 bad game and you're in the doghouse forever. Jefferson played bad last week and horrible today. Lee just sits and gets put in for the last play. That's a slap in the face. I'm proud of the Tigers, but shame on you Les Miles. You should be ashamed of yourself for how you treat Jarrett Lee. That kid does not deserve what you do to him. He got us to a 9-0 start. Even CBS said he is the MVP of the team for getting where you are this season! I just want to win, but give that kid some credit for what he has done and don't let him kneel the last play. Anyone else would have quit the team by now.

I'm so glad we are 13-0, but really.... Les has no class for his decision to sit JL out til the last 3 minutes.
JJ couldn't follow team rules and got himself suspended for 4 games, so he wasn't present.... reward for this behavior should not be to give him the football and make our offense look like crap for the past few weeks, thanks les but i'm sure the Defense is sick of picking up the pieces, oh wait they probably actually enjoy it, more TV time for highlights on ESPN.... For all you who think that JJ is your savior for the BAMA win, we cold have bounced back, have you so little faith... If we play BAMA in the NC and if we struggle with JJ at the helm, which we will... look at the last two weeks as an example of our lack luster offense with JJ at the helm.... I sure hope JL is there to save the day, cause we just might need two QB's to win a National Title.

LSU would not be undefeated now without the fine play of JL-FACT. No one really knows if the Tigers would have beaten 'Bama without JJ since Lee only played a quarter. He had a past history; Troy, Auburn, UT, of shrugging of INT's to come from behind and win. So the fact is LSU could have been 13 and zero right now with JL at the helm and absoulutely, positively could not have been 13 and zero counting on only JJ this season. BTW, I think if JL starts the UGA game, he hits several of those wide-open receivers that JJ missed and the Tigers would not have needed a second-half comeback. The dominated today in spite of JJ, not because of him; OBTW that's another fact.

Technically, he's right. JJ couldn't play the first few games, so counting only on him, we would have had to forfeit.

And we could have technically beaten those teams with Mettenberger

Yeah you're really cheering for the team by trashing JL. You suck.

Your point???

The guy said that if we had to count only on JJ all season, we wouldn't be 13-0. And since JJ couldn't play the first few games, relying only on him gives us at least 2 losses.

Amazing how some people can't grasp the obvious, ain't it? Thanks for the clarification.

Meh, I thought he was talking about actual performance

I don't really care about JJ's situation early on because who knows what actually happened. The same ones trashing JJ's character for the same rumors early on are the same ones trashing people talking about JL's possible academic issues.
