We should NOT hire any coach who had a sexual scandal at his previous school. We need a coach with class.

You cannot be that dense to compare these two programs.

Baylor, covered up multiple sexual assaults by multiple athletes over a span of numerous years. It is the definition of a "lack of institutional control". It is despicable, deplorable, and worthy of the dreaded "death penalty", in my opinion.

The University's president, athletic director, and head football coach were all fired. This was the second largest scandal of the 21st century, apart from the Penn State/Sandusky cover-up.

The Jameis case is ridiculous and controversial, yes. Deep down, I still think he is guilty on some level. I think the entire matter should have been handled by the Tallahassee Police Department, admittedly a seemingly corrupt entity, rather than the Florida State Disciplinary Council.

Still, I'm willing to give Fisher the benefit of the doubt. His quarterback was suspended, albeit briefly, and then was proven innocent of the young woman's accusations. In the court of public opinion he may still be guilty according to many, myself included, but Florida State declared him to be absent of any student misconduct or criminal behavior.

Briles had multiple players involved. Several of them have been convicted of assault and are currently serving legitimate prison time. That's a big frickin' difference. The multiple reports and stories related to the scandal reveal that nearly the entire athletic department was aware of the accusations of the victims and simply chose to ignore it.

Fisher is no saint, but don't dare drag his name through the mud and compare him with that piece of shite who supposedly espoused Christian values.

Please explain what Fisher should have done. Benched his quarterback for allegations that had very little evidence backing them up?

Like a coach that defends his player and says he didn't intentionally clothesline an opposing player five seconds after the play was over when everyone with eyes (including the refs that tossed him) could clearly see otherwise ?

Jimbo Fisher never tried to cover anything up. Apples and oranges!

JF is the PERFECT fit for LSU.

IT SEEMS WE WANT TO FIND A COACH BY NAME...AND WITH ONE ALREADY MADE ... WHY?
OOPS CAPS..

BY THE TIME A LOT OF COACHES ARE made AND HAVE A REPUTATION,
they no longer have the energy after all, they will get a pretty healthy salary and for those still under 50, energy does dwindle.
Forget a NAME, find a solid up and coming with some already proven success that can give us 10 -15 years full of energy and that has adapted to the new game.

not putting this name as a NAME only as an example ..
Tom Herman .. I am sure there are many others.
It is time to look beyond the obvious names.

We're worried about successful results over the name. Coaching in the SEC is difficult and you have to make sure you can get someone that can handle the heat. With LSU's status, they should be able to get someone who has already proven that they can handle a huge job with great success. There is nothing wrong with up-and-coming guys at all, but there is more risk with them when they settle in to a job this big.

That's pretty much what our chivalrous AD did to the Duke kids.
