That said, I'm sticking with this team. I waited 8 long months to enjoy football and I'm not throwing in the towel after 3 weeks. If the players threw in the towel as quickly as the fans (after the first loss every year or sub par performance), we would have to go undefeated every year to enjoy football life.

How do you know this, we never threw to anyone else

And this is the real problem with the passing game that continues when there's stiff competition. It's comforting invitation to load up against the run.

Yeah

I'll be watching still.

But this is why i was cautiously optimistic.

When everyone made a huge deal out of how many freshman played against BYU, my inner me was like, uh oh.

This team has been sliding in talent. Theoretically, the most recent recruiting class was a good one. But. We'll see. Star ratings never tell the whole story.

If it is a good class and we can get another one, maybe we can stem the tide

As others have stated before, Canada's play calling does not really seem that much different or more effective than the play calling of Miles/Cameron.

This may have more to do with the limitations at the position.

Good post Shorty Rob. What amazes me, is that everyone is analyzing offense in this loss. I think the real question should be how did our defense let us down so much. That is the real riddle from last weekend's game.

Only thing I can think is that Dan Mulllens offense requires assignment football. And almost our whole defense at the second and third levels are new starters.
