Last night, it seemed that the only real receiver who is a threat is Chark. After him, it is a cliff dive to the number 2. Hard to run a balanced offense with only one reliable receiver. (And he had some meaningful drops as well....)

We lack depth at receiver and offensive line. When was the last time we had better depth at QB than we did those positions?

Time for the Drake, Dee and Sullivan show. I dont really care if they half arse it in practice. Gotta put the playmakers out there.

That's not going to help the team if the real reason is bc they have not been practicing hard.

I said last week that Gage is a 3* that doesn't really excel as a DB or wr. I got suspended for "trolling the score board". Today, everyone bitches about him trying to catch a ball with his teeth.

Chark, you mean the guy who got called for holding rendering a touchdown negated? Chark, the guy who was wide open with nobody to tackle him and let the ball hit him in the face/hands?

That guy?

Depth??

We have nothing at receiver. This maybe the worst group since the Dinardo era. There is no legitimate go to guy. Our best receiver is probably a 4 at other SEC schools.

Really, really not good. Combine that with zero O Line and the result is 7 points vs. MSU

A low ceiling guy can bust arse and win favor with the coaches but come game time he still has a low ceiling. Some people are great in practice, some are great when the lights are on. As long as they aren't doing something detrimental to the team, give me the high ceiling guy.

I agree, as I thought these guys were recruited for a reason. It made no sense to not see Drake Davis in that game.

Could they have performed any worse than Chark & Gage?

Our two best receivers played against each other in Dallas on Saturday.

I don't get it either

I just don't

They rarely get enough targets to get in a rythmn with the qb any ways

Run run playaction all over again

As others have stated before, Canada's play calling does not really seem that much different or more effective than the play calling of Miles/Cameron.

But if you would be said this before Saturday you would be been run off this board.

It's hard to have depth at WR when all your receivers transfer out or you can't sign anyone worth a shite because your QB play is abysmal every single year.

we lack team depth. I had to knock the dust off of that statement. I haven't used it in years.

I said yesterday.

It would actually be stunning of our receivers were good

Look. It's impolite tho say it to some people on the board but reality is reality.

Of you were a top flight receiver in the last 3 years and you seriously considered LSU, your sanity was in question.

Same for QB.

And really, even OL.

For other big time schools, losing a receiver recruit to LSU was like getting beat out for a receiver by Georgia tech

Would tend to think this may be empty coach speak from Orgeron in light of the physical gifts Drake Davis and Stephen Sullivan bring to the table (and the number of elite schools that offered scholarships)....

HOWEVERRRRRRR, since the Air Canada plane hasn't boarded priority passengers yet, has Anderson on standby, kicked Teuhema off the plane, installed only a portion of the plays in the overhead bin, much less touched the runway... IT MAY BE straight up, freudian slippin, "frick did I say that out load" coach speak.

Until that jet defies gravity and streaks across the night sky of Tiger Stadium...all those shifts are nothing more than ground control Frank's empty hand cone gyrations....a whole lot of nothing to this point leaving us stranded on runway. Let's hope that pilot comes over the speaker system soon and ask Tiger Stadium to prepare for takeoff.
