Ray Harper is the best fit for the LSU tigers and he is a PROVEN winner. We don't need any SEC retreads, or friends of a friend coaches.
I usually only read this forum but I had to speak up about this one. I was a fan of JJ but he obviously Bayou runneth over.
Ray Harper would have us in the top 10 in one recruiting period. His ability to "Coach" is first class and his record proves it better then anyone out there available.
Name me one other Men's coach on all levels of college that has been to more Championships (All Level Championships DI, DII, DIII, NAIA) then Ray Harper other then John Wooden.

Is Gene Hackman available to coach this BB team ?

quote:I'm not confident he could make a smooth transition from a small Indiana high school to a big college. I think Nick Nolte is available though. He walked away from Western U after the recruiting scandal. He might even be able to bring Neon Boudreaux with him. That guy is a Shaquille O'Neil clone!

McCall and Will Davis would be my preference of the first two guys you make say no.

12 years as a head coach on the DII and NAIA level he went to the National Championship game 9 times, won 4!
Hired at Western kentucky and won 2 conference championships and went to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Currently the head coach at Jacksonville State Univ and has already turned that program around in his first year.
He is a proven winner and incredible recruiter. You want to win at LSU, Hire Ray Harper

What's the story behind his resignation in 2016?
