Then, we have play action that more than not has our qbs' backs turned against the developing play... which amounts to the only deception we employ.

We have shown that our OL is incapable of pushing around inferior teams with the sets we use.

This is an offense in deep trouble.

So would you say that we should be running the wishbone with the triple option this year? I think that Jennings will get better with his hot reads, but just isn't there yet

I believe the offense will be exposed to better than average defensive teams. Hopefully it will develop a lot more in the next two weeks.

Did you not watch the Wisconsin game? Jennings looked fantastic play action passing in the 2nd half.

The first two games the offensive wasn't so deliberately slow. It was obvious they wanted to work on the running game from the start with 2 straight runs leaving the offense in 3rd and 10 on the first two possessions. Maybe this was done for Porter, I don't know. However, in the 2nd half, everything was up tempo which works better for this personnel. We're only in trouble if we decide to play a style this team does not respond well to. In the second half when the team went up tempo, the scoring and yardage started coming more fluidly even while running the ball more deliberately.

We aren't in trouble. But I don't understand why we don't want pro style qb's in a pro style offense

The sky isn't falling, but Jennngs did look slow with his progressions. He looked hesitant to pull the trigger, which led to sacks or getting flushed from the pocket. Harris may make mistakes, but he always makes them at full speed.

Well, Jennings throws a damn fine deep ball for a zone read QB. Being LSU doesn't run a zone read offense and from what I hear Jennings never ran a zone read offense in high school either on what do you base the statement that he is a zone read QB?

Scoring 87 pts in two games is always a sign of an offense in deep trouble.
