I dont think that means we have the #1 trap game. It just means LSU is ranked preseason #1 on their site. Theyre going in order of ranking.

WKU could be tough.

My idea of a trap game is having a lesser, but dangerous opponent that could sneak a win from you while you are focused on the games surrounding them. Northwestern is more of a trap game than MSU. This team will likely use Northwestern to prepare for MSU.

Kentucky fits this (between WVU and Florida), as does Tennessee (between Florida and Auburn).

I get your point, but Northwestern St isn't a trap game because there is as close to zero chance as possible in a sporting event for them to beat LSU.

How can you consider playing a ranked team on the road after playing a cupcake a trap? I highly doubt we will underestimate MSU.

This. I don't think anyone would be shocked we would play against an easier opponent post-Oregon game when we have five days to prep for Miss. State. Hope we don't have any injuries against Northwestern, we need to keep our depth for State.

Dawgs on short rest coming off a physical and emotional game against Auburn

LSU coming off a bye week against Northwestern St.

I think its more of a "trap" for them

This Thursday night game has generated a lot of intereste (see nervousness) from the LSU community. I think it's a very good thing that our players are hearing all of this early on so that when we get to that week there won't be any oversight. I'm pretty sure the national/local media is helping LSU stay focused for this game by perpetually calling it a "dangerous spot" in the LSU schedule.

If any game is a trap game, it's Tennessee. They want blood after last year

It's not a trap anymore, if a publication says it's a trap.

I couldn't agree more. Moo State could very very be one of the toughest if not the toughest game of the season for us. But saying its a "trap" game is incorrect. A "trap" game IMO is a lesser opponent whom you should rip to shreds because of looking forward to your next game down the road. In my honest opinion, Kentucky and Western Kentucky are more likely "trap games" based on who we play the following week. No chance in hell we look past State. I like to think about the last time we opened up SEC play on a Thursday night against State when JoJo Lafell almost took that poor kid's head off
