Bama game was just an eye opener for us. Yeah our game plan was terrible, yeah Miles didn't make the proper adjustments (if any) at half, but this game was over hyped and our players just weren't ready for it. We are going to bounce back. If Bama loses to State this weekend... Who knows what will happen.

sigh......

Do you think Bama, who has their eye on the prize and knows that State is the last obstacle left (until Atlanta), is going to slip in that game?

I would love to eat all kinds of crow.....but I think state gets steam rolled.

ETA: I do agree we will bounce back.

#2 vs. #4, not to mention the previous 4 meetings with both teams in top 10 or top 5....

...ummm no.

Gotta have faith. LSU has had its fair share of luck in the past, but I do agree.

A loss to Ole Miss and barely pulling through against Tennessee both at home but yet still ranked at #4... Yes it was over hyped.

So Alabama was overrated or ranked too high and shouldn't have been #4 in the nation? How can you possibly say that today after they absolutely dominated us last night? We were #2 in the nation and they manhandled us in epic fashion. But they had no business being #4 in the nation. Are you serious?

And if you think that Bama was ranked too high and shouldn't have been #4, how in the hell can you say we are still a top 4 team after the manhandled us? Wouldn't that mean that we got destroyed by a worst team?

So you think that Bama should have been ranked closer to #10 instead of being #4, yet we are still a top 4 team after they absolutely manhandled us to the point of embarrassment. Literally makes 0 sense.

Stay off the crack. As long as we have an archaic offensive philosophy we won't beat the best teams in the league. 2007 feels like centuries ago and we got in that year with two losses somehow. Try again

But I read on this board for 2 weeks that Bama wasn't that good...are they good now? Is that the new narrative?

Top 10 at least for this week. Let's see what we can do with Arkansas. They showed some real strength vs Ole Miss, and always play "spoiler" against us.

BTW, IMO, the OP is in denial. It's a Kool-Aid after-effect. I still love our Tigers, but LSU is not a top 4 team today and was probably the over-rated one in last week's debacle versus Bama - as the results of play and coaching clearly demonstrated for the nation to see.

No doubt it will be a challenge. Arkansas, OM and A&M will all be up for us. Our boys better move on from this weekend and look ahead. If we dwell, we may lose 1 or 2 of those games.

definitely not top 4, top 10 at best (by virtue of having a once a generation running back), our defense has given up at least 20 points in every game except the first one and had serious problems with the likes of Syracuse, Eastern Michigan, and Western Kentucky. Top 10 teams seldom have these struggles

We will drop 1 if not 2 of the next 3. The Bama game was a reality check for me. Team was not prepared, and the coaches will not adjust from game plans.

You notice that too, TT?

The narratives on the Rant change like the wind for convenience's sake or to defend Miles or for whatever ...

And ... if Les Miles can only finish around 8-3 with a roster everyone here said is loaded and with the best RB in the country, what does that say about him?
