La'el Collins will return and wear the prestigious some might even say mystical #18. I know what your thinking, he won't be eligible to play LT with that #. Well your right. My inside source says that he will play TE and RUssell Shepard will throw every pass to him while on route to winning a heisman. That's my way to early prediction

I thought the players really liked it. If so, cool enough for me.

I can't believe more than 3 people older than 7 months care about this.

I wish the fan obsession over 7 and 18 would die like the 2 bits cheer did.

Stupid tradition. I don't care. Hopefully the 4th string QB or the backup long snapper so this tradition will DIAF.

What ever happened to the #7 jersey? We haven't seen it since Mathieu.

So 2 dbs wear it and its some sort of tradition? I did a list of several past players to wear #7 and some are walk ons I never heard of.

Exactly. I feel like people call it stupid on this board because it hasn't really gone to the best player. I understand why this bothers some people, however this isn't the purpose of the honor.

Also, I think people are tired of posters starting these threads once a week until it is announced in the summer.

I think they should wait till half way through the season and give it to the player that most deserves it. JMO
