Although I was initially trying to get on the LSUAA boat, this thread has blossomed and many people have gotten information on the restaurant boats and tailgate boats for Washington throughout this thread.

Yea just call or email Jason at the AA office.

$100 for boat ride (2 or 3 hours before) and 2 drinks...no food.

The man who deals with this is Tracy Jones at the alumni arse. If you contact Jason he will forward his info. Indeed it is 100 dollars a person and includes two drinks and light snacks on the boat. After your 2nd drink its a cash bar. You can pay an extra 50 dollars(approx) and have a buffett lunch at McCormick and Scmicks with the rest of the alumni who bought the travel package before you board. I have not recieved the official itinerary but have heard rumors that the boat will dock 1-2 hours before the game. It will stay at the dock and will not leave so you can stay and drink on the boat as long as you want.

I hope this boat is prepared for the high demands for alcohol. My whole family will be double fisting the whole time aboard.

Nope, the guy told me he'd call if he found something. He said every large boat is booked solid. Only boats even possibly left are those holding under 20 people and they are few and far between.

He said they've never been booked THIS solid this far in advance...

ETA: I'd get on the AA boat, I really don't see the benefit in it since there's no food and a drink limit.

I might try and talk someone who's driving into bringing my tailgate stuff...

Yeah, I've spoken with both Tracy and Jason at the AA ... They've both been very helpful, and they're trying to squeeze us on, but we have 18 total people so it may not happen.

They're already pretty full. I had just never gotten all the details on the boat other than the price. I just assumed for $100 food and drinks would be included, but I guess not.

Yea, I put this planning on the back burner and now its coming back to bite me in the arse. Worst case is we drive to the stadium/rv lot and find some of the LSU people who drove up...

Well, we had a boat...and still do... but we were combined with another group of people...there was an evite sent out months ago to both their group and our group, and about 10 of my friends never confirmed themselves on the evite and/or paid the organizer(s). When the boat hit capacity because the "other" group of people started filling it up, 6 of our group were on it and 12 of us were not. A few of the 12 that got left out got upset. Some of them assumed that "our group" would all have a spot regardless.

So now we're having to come up with a Plan B. The whole situation pretty much pissed me off to no end ... if everyone would have confirmed themselves from the beginning, we'd all be on the original boat for $75 each which includes all you can eat and all you can drink and is an all-day boat tailgate. Not to mention, we wouldn't even have to show up with anything, set up anything, etc. etc. etc. It would have all been taken care of.

We've had this planned since last December and everyone had all the information and evites and everything, but some people waited until 60 days before the game to finalize plans and they ended up getting mad at the organizers despite the fact that the organizers provided all necessary information, but a big portion of our group simply procrastinated and never confirmed themselves and ended up getting left out.

Now I've been put in an akward situation because our group -- including myself -- all want to be together as a group on GameDay. Unfortunately, it seems at the moment we no longer have a boat to tailgate on.

Wow. I booked back in late April. I was skeptical that they would be able sell 400 spots.

We went back and forth on whether or not to tailgate or go on the boat. I admit its not a great deal but we wanted to try something different and that campus looks shady to tailgate at. they have this huge parking lot where you park bumper to bumper which ruins the charm of tailgating IMO. The other available lots look like they will fill up immediately. Other lots are located in grimy looking areas in a downtown setting. Not many available lots(unless you are a donor) with green space. Use google earth to see what I am talking about.

From what I heard, if you don't attend a UW game by boat is the equivalent to arriving at an LSU home game an hour before it starts.

Yeah, personally I think I'd have more fun doing a normal "tailgate" on land.... THAT SAID, I hear the same thing as everyone else...if you go to a UW game, it is mandatory to do the boat thing.

Does anybody know if any bars or restraunts do charters to the game? We just have 4 in our group so renting a boat is no go.

Wait so if we drink at this bar before the game, then they'll take us to the game on their boat?

Hell yes.

Do this:

- Free parking at the restaurant
- Boat holds 250
- Buffet dinner
- Drinks are extra
- Boat leaves an hour before the game and brings you back as well.

All for: $39.95/person, paid when you get there. They just take your name and number over the phone.

Sounds like a good deal to me ... Did you put your entire group on the list Golfer? Did they say your spot on the boat is reserved by putting your name on the list?

No, just me and my s.o...we've had some people waffling about going so I'm going to tell them about this and let them call.

Well I guess we have nothing to lose. If we put our name on the list and then something better comes along we can always call and take our name off with no penalty I guess.

I'm going to get on the Washington board at some point today and find out if Ivars is a cool place to drink at the day of a game.
