We might as well save our gas and watch it at tha house. Is that an NCAA violation, because I know we have tried to keep our workouts on the dl.

Not just UW or any fan base.
All of this talk about what happens in the offseason is crap.
LSU comes into camp every year with the best attitude and the hardest summer ever. How much have we heard about it with LSU this August already.

Remember all of the workout videos that were posted last year? I remember several post about how serious they had been in the weight room the previous season and how strong they all were.

All of this posting about this player and that player looking great also means nothing because it is all in the first 15 to 20 minutes of practice.

I reserve my judgement until the first few weeks of the season when I see what happens during a game.

There is a real difference between the Losingham practices and offseason than the current coaching staff. A very real difference. Whether that changes anything is left to be seen. But there is a complete 180 in tempo, muscle/fat ratio, weight, speed, and emotion from the Losingham era.

I believe you lawdawg. After what he did to your program, it can only go up.
I think you have a good coach and things will get better.

We'll see. Most UW fans were not inspired by the hire. We needed a big name hire to avoid a permanent seat in the Pac 10 cellar after what we've been through following the Neuheisel fiasco (or following serious sanctions in 1992 for that matter).

Sarkisian is saying and doing the right things. So there is hope. However, what left remains unknown is whether the guy is a good coach on Fall Saturdays... Who knows!?

Many UW fans believe, like I do, that we should not have taken a chance on that... I'm pulling for him to succeed and hope he does. If he doesn't, it will be that much longer to get back to respectability.

Any sociology majors can do a case study on UW on how to ruin a program as quickly as possible. Going from 12-0 in 1991 (or even 11-1 in 2000) to 0-12 in 2008 is unreal. Past Presidents, Board of Regents, Athletic Directors, incompetent coaches (Gilby & Losingham), scandals, and pressure from the State Legislature, etc... All combined to kill UW and put it where it is today.

I would expect they would be confident. They have a new fired up coach from a winning program. UW has been traditionally a good program. They have tradition of their own right. They have fans who remember contending for PAC-10 titles. Problem is that they are not playing a team that is going to take them lightly, who has 3 new defensive coaches that have something to prove, a new young talented QB chomping at the bit to be successful and something that will continue even once the season gets started: that is competition at key positions for increased playing time. Such as RB, DB, LB. We have depth at most positions and we have 2nd team guys who think they should be first team guys and we have 1st team guys who know they have really good players who want more playing time. Competition breeds intensity and better performances out of fear and necessity.

there was a boat load of Appy State fans on here last year that honestly thought they would eek out a win vs. LSU. If we would have had half a team, it would have been even uglier than it was

We hear the same shite out of Starkvegas every year too. How they aren't afraid of LSU blah blah blah.

Jake L is a stud, past that the route is ON. Scott and KW will blow them up and out. That is all there is to it.
