Was TJ the scholarship Les told Trent Domingue to wait on?

Les told Trent Domingue he could get him a scholarship by August. Scholarships don't magically appear. This leads me to believe this Tyron Johnson transfer may have been brewing for a while. I'm pretty sure injured players still count towards the 85 unless it's career ending.

Pretty sure Les assumed someone would transfer out, no names but it happens every year.

Not all scholarships that athletes get are full-ride football scholarships. Some football players can get academic scholarships -a friend of mine played for three years with nothing more than TOPS.

It very well could be that Johnson slipped down the depth chart because he told the staff he was looking at transferring. That's just as likely as the work ethic rumors floating around.

All signs point to the fact that Tyron did something to fall out of favor at the end of 2015. This is not a big conspiracy theory. On the contrary, it is a classic application of Occam's Razor - the very opposite of a conspiracy theory.

Maybe TJ started the fight in the locker room at half time.

I don't follow UT football, but I have a co-worker that is a dyed in the wool UT fan and alumni that said that Trent is missing field goals in bunches with no one trying to block them in fall camp. He was at first happy to see his team get this kicker, but has since has kinda said meh.

maybe something to do with blocking - NFL scouts raved over Jarvis and Odell's blocking.

We will never know, maybe they weren't sure Valentine would qualify... a lot of games we can play here.

Occam's razor huh? You sure about that Clark?

A conspiracy theory does not necessarily have to be overly complex, so perhaps your appeal to probability lead to the formation of the non sequitur.

Regardless, maybe the freshmen pushed him down the depth chart during camp and he decided to go somewhere he can play simply because he walks in the door? Otherwise why wait until camp to leave when you would have had all Summer to look vs. now having to scramble to find a spot before the season starts. Seems pretty simple to me.

People were really acting like he was a huge loss.

He didn't have a lot of kicks, and most attempts were pretty safe from what I remember.

13 of 17
2 of 4 the year prior

He only had one attempt of 50 yards and he missed it..

His best percentage and where he was perfect 6 of 6 was from 30-39 yards.

I don't understand the fuss over Domingue, he wasn't a great kicker, got his panties in a wad and left...he is not the first to quit LSU, and I see he wasn't the last, now that TJ3 has left...

Which is really about all you should really expect from MOST college kickers. He did his job.
