I heard a while back that LSU was looking at reducing the "piped in music" this year that gets so many complaints. Persoanlly I don't mind it.

did they ever reach a final solution?

You will hear Katy Perry in TS this year and there isn't a single thing you can do about it.

Nothing says saturday night in death valley like "firework" blaring in the background. Ill make sure to bring my cargo shorts in case I need to carry jelly beans in the pockets. Or I'll just wear some kind of surfer t-shirt that has "Slick willy's long boards" written on it.

no you should wear your traditional black trousers, and zipperless jacket. Luckily most of the games are during the day so the bright electric lights wont scare or confuse you. But buggy parking sure is expensive this year Jeremiah.

I haven't been able to attend games regularly over the past 5 or 6 years, can some one educate me on when they play "piped" music now a days. I know they play Callin' Baton Rouge sometime before the band takes the field. I have been to some games the last few years, but perhaps I was just tailgating a bit too hard and didn't really notice the difference.

I hope they play more piped in music so it pisses people off even more.

Me too, granted I usually always stay outside and watch at my tailgate but I say increase the pipe music

Two things I love: LSU football and rock, pop, hip hop, alternative and heavy metal music. Combine both = heaven.

Piped in music can be awesome if the songs are right. Justin Bieber shouldn't ever be piped in to Tiger Stadium.

All the big stadiums do it and it drowns out the other teams band.

I bring ear plugs.

I mind it a hell of a lot. I prefer to hear the bands instead. If you want an NFL experience, go to New Orleans and watch the damned Saints. This is college football.

college players like to hear a good mix of piped in music & the band. You need a mix of both at this level of a program.

I'm the same way as you but there are people that get pumped up by stupid rap songs. While others get annoyed by it. Its the same with country music too. I think everyone can agree pop music has no place in college football.

I understand some people like piped in music and some don't. But I'll never understand how anyone can stand listening to the same 10 seconds of Hell's Bells over and over again during the games. It's always *BOOOONG* *BOOONG* and then 2 seconds of guitar riff before fading out after a TV timeout. There's no way that anyone gets excited listening to that.

I don't mind the piped in music. Baseball Players get their own set lists to listen to during BP & when they walk up to the plate, so its the same thing. If you get there right before first pitch and/or kickoff, you'll hear very little piped in music.

I hear no complaints about the Box, so most of you are just pussified.

My only problem is the VOLUME in the SEZ. They had it cranked WAY too loud. Whether we're talking about the volume for the announcers for the band or Dan Borne, or the music itself, its too loud to have a conversation with someone next to you pregame once that music cranks up in the SEZ. They can have the music, but just play it at an acceptable volume.

People, especially on the rant, overreact to piped in music just like they overreact to anything.

you figs will always need something to bitch and complain about
GTF over it and enjoy the damn game..

and by the way...I like the fact that they play some of the player's favorite music to get them pumped up. I love seeing them dance/jump around before kickoff.

They do need new speakers though
