We are not going to the Cotton Bowl because the match up of a current and former Big 12 conference member (A&M and Oklahoma) is going to generate more interest in the game due to the story line than we would have generated by showing up there, no matter which Big 12 team showed. This would be true even if we averaged 50 points per game. Remember, this is about money, not merit. The powers that be really do not care how many points we score.

Yeah, you're stupid enough to think that's when we lost it. You sir are the dumb frick. If LEs is in check, we WIN it instead of letting another team give us a loss. We gave them the win on his xbox type calls.

LOL

We lost to Bama because Miles made some horrible fricking calls that handed Bama points.

Quote any other wins, losses, teams, etc, I don't care.

Our players played well enough o win, Miles actions took the Bama win away,

BTW, I LOVE Miles as our coach, but I'm not ignorant enough to not see when he does moronic things.

Thanks for this. It shows me your knowledge and that ypu exist only to argue. If you need it pointed out to you, it would be futile.

Get off your knees, Miles isn't in town today.

Way to really drive home your point there tard.

I would love to hear what the decisions are that put points on the board for Bama in that game.

I love when people try to say things like this instead of actually trying to make their point, they say this and just run away from the conversation because they have no point.

I agree. But we got 10 wins, baby.

Being happy with 10 wins, is like having 140 IQ and bragging about having a B average.Bonehead coaching decisions caused the BAMA loss.Big bad FLA had trouble with ULL.

It is hard for me to watch LSU play and I love them... But how do we expect others to want to watch LSU, when we look like garbage even when we win!!

Don't watch. Watch someone else. Maybe Baylor. They score lots and lots of points. Wins....not so much, but lots and lots of points.

But on a personal side, I am truly sorry that LSU football doesn't meet your personal expecations because it's all about you isn't it?

We are not a flashy team for tv offense is boring we barely beat ole miss and arkansas to end the season. Now im happy to be going to a great bowl but tv wants flashy like a and m and teams that sell big players.

Small part.

1. Northern Illinois issue is major, which bumped Oklahoma to the Cotton.

2. SEC protecting Georgia. Having them slip to the Chick-Fil-A Bowl would have been unacceptable to Georgia, Altanta and the SEC. Capital One Bowl wanted TxAM, but SEC worked the bowl management enough to get Georgia in...which started the following domino effect:

- Could not put South Carolina in the CFBowl since they play Clemson every year. No TV draw and no bowl attendance draw. CFBowl has the #2 ACC team tie-in so the could not dump Clemson. Cotton did not want South Carolina but the Outback Bowl did.

- Cotton wanted TxAM as long as U of Texas was not there. Due to point 1 above, U of Okla drew the tie-in bid and allowed the Cotton to grab TxAM.

- The best course for the SEC was LSU being slotted in teh CF Bowl. Just how it worked out.

REGARDLESS, LSU has an excellent match-up. Flashing name and offense, ranked in top 15-20, and one of the better teams in the ACC. We have the ability and tools to blow them out the GA Dome.

If we do, expect a top 5 finish, maybe higher if some other bowls are upsets.

Exactly. When your only selling point is the head coach making goofy comments/gametime management decisions

Really?

Have we not seen enough goofy time management decisions in the SEC Championship (both coaches) and NO Atlanta game (Drew Brews) to get over this?

UGA played a soft schedule laid an egg and luckily beat FLorida(who laid an even bigger egg), and played a Bama team that easily could've already had 2 losses on the season.

UGA, and it's acclaimed D front 7, got physically whipped by Bama on what amounts to UGA's home field. LSU played a physically superior game vs Bama and held Bama to 331 total yards. Couple of poor coaching decisions and few player brain farts led to a L, but I still would rank LSU # 3 overall in 2012, and that is with what is likely the highest player attrition in the conference from an injury and suspension standpoint. UGA got the easiest ride into the SECCG the last two years and when push came to shove they couldn't finish in either game, they should play some tougher road games vs SECW opponents. I believe LSU would have beaten UGA Saturday, too.

Not to mention the UF loss was due to injuries and turnovers, not coaching at all.

How bout trying a 55 yd fg with a kicker that has never made one that far?
Do you think giving Bama the ball at mid_field resulted in points before the half?

Hint: if you dont you are delusional!

There are more, but just that one should be enough for you to digress.

It was a 54 yard FG which means the line of scrimmage was the 37 yard line. What would be your strategy from the 37 yard line Mr. Football? Would it be to punt it? Yeah, lots of teams punt the football from the 37 yard line.

Our defense should have been able to hold Bama. They ran a draw on the first play just to see what they could get out of it and got 11 yards. If we don't allow that, Saban is going to just run the clock out.

Not exactly sure what it is that you would have done here, but you clearly know more football than everyone here, so I'm sure you would have had a better answer in hindsight knowing that our defense would give up a 63 yard drive in 50 seconds.
