I don't understand how you could say that, we ran for a decent amount of yards against auburn and Florida yet they couldn't maintain any sort of protection/push when it actually mattered(red zone)..... so that makes them good? THEY PERFORMED SUB PAR WHEN WE NEEDED THEM. That makes for a crappy line no matter what your stupid trusted stats say.

Look, I'm the biggest homer there is, but one of the best OL's in college football? C'mon Man!

back to the tackles; all it takes is one not to 'grade out high' per series and your behind the chains and stalling drives. Have to be high across the board with no holes to prevent that.

Everybody always blames the offensive line, but the offensive line wasn't the problem, the problem was the unimaginative Les Miles' antiquated and very predictable offense.

Al. O line is the reason they are a cut above, LSU ain't close. That is why Bama will win Monday, by the second half they will wear Clemson down and win by 20. That is the difference!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont't think so. Bama's offense is not up to par this year. Defense is great but I don't see them pulling away from Clemson, certainly not by 20.

OL was dominated in WISC, BAMA and UF game

Offense had 423 total yards vs. Florida. Wisconsin was shitty Cam/Les gameplan for a QB that was benched the next game. Bama is allowing 244 yards per game.

This is also college football, there are very few elite lines.

What? Yes we could. Turnovers stopped our offense. We ran for over 200 on each team.

Against Auburn, we ran for 6.9 ypc as a team.
Against Florida, we ran for 4.9 ypc.

Our oline looked bad against bama. We ran on every other team while having the 103rd ranked passing attack in cfb.

. so that makes them good?
yes. One game against bama doesnt just cancel out the other games where our line was great.

That makes for a crappy line

bullshite. Playing nad for 1 game against the most talent rich front 7 in cfb doesnt mean lsu's oline sucked.

what your stupid trusted stats say.

Ill trust facts(stats) over your biased opinion.
We had 3 olinemen make all sec and our center was a remington award finalist.
People that say our oline sucked clearly dont watch other programs play.

Thats the problem. Most lsu fans on here dont watch other programs like they do with lsu.
We had 3 all sec olineman(more than bama)and a remington award finalist.

I'm not saying our line was the best in the country--it probably wasn't--but most folks don't comprehend that they watch their own teams with a much more critical eye than they do any others.

That's exactly what it is.
They did it with Miles amd clock mismanagement. They kept saying how miles is the only one that has done it as frequently as he has, yer sport illustrated just did a huge article about clock mismanagement in the nfl and how often it happens. They even had multiple examples of Bill Belichick having clock management issues.

They do the same thing with our oline.
The only people ive heard say lsu's oline wasnt good is lsu fans.

Look...we can all pat each other on the back and act like things are great or we can talk like reasonable individuals....

LSU's OL had some extremely bright moments.....fact

However, I judge OL by physicality on known rushing downs , redzone scoring when the field shortens, and pass blocking on known passing downs.

I also use those same demographics above and I judge it against the best opposition......

We have 4 losses.....all 4 teams had defenses in the top 25....all 4 teams were held
To less than 20 points in those losses....one didn't even score a TD.....

So it comes to offense and heart is the OL......against the best they executed at level that I don't think should rank them as the best squad in the country.

The best two OLines are playing Monday.

UF red zone D was good this year. Wisconsin was the first game of the season and we basically saw the Aranda D that he left behind. As mismanaged as our OL personnel was they played well overall all year. Anybody that has faced Bama DL has looked overmatched. New year and a new offense which means expected better results with new big bodies left to right.
