DJ's hit in the 9th still gives me goosebumps.

I was in Rosenblatt, standing along the wall/stairs down by the left field fould pole ... I remember leaning over, seeing that ball land fair and just going nuts. It was surreal. There was a "buzz" in the stadium and you could just hear almost everyone collectively thinking "OMG did that just happen?!?"

Walking out of that stadium that night was one of the best feelings I've ever experienced as an LSU fan.

Thanks for Links!

I said in another post I took my elderly mom to the Game 1 Stoney - She is huge tiger fan and that was her only time there and who knows if she will make it back. We had box tickets so thank goodness with all the time and delay she could rest in club house.

Anyway very special game for me. I think if you take away the next two and look at the game at that time it is one of if not best games ever.

eta: Also, let this remind everyone: LSU + postseason baseball = game aint over til the final out is made.

THIS. How lucky are we as fans that we've seen that many good endings to big baseball games. Awesome memories

It's unreal the amount of great comebacks we've had, and not in ordinary regular season games...in high stakes postseaon games we've seen an exraordinary amount of remarkable rallies and classic finishes ... it's amazing and the list continues to grow with just about each passing season.

Some observations from watching all of those videos.

I still don't know how we beat Stanford in 2000, they were flat dominating us until the 8th.

UCLA has the shittiest field of any big name program.

Pettis from UCI will one day snap and kill an LSU fan, we were way inside his head.

Jason Detterman has to own the record for shortest pitcher ever at LSU, he makes Cotton look like Yarnell.

Matt Clark - what was his ethnicity? - regardless of that he was a cocky mofo.

Blake Dean liked to do the bat flips against Bama.

I forgot how bad Texas roughed up Coleman, man that was a shelling.

Somebody should make a deal with it gif of Determann catching that line drive, flipping over his head back on the mound, and strutting back like a boss

That guy from the SEC Tournament in 2008 (against USCe) looks like the same guy that went crazy after that throw out from Foster on Sunday.

As I'm watching these again, another thing that made the UC Irvine Super rally so great was that it was the final series ever in the old Box!

Crowd noise was insane in the 9th...that place was electric

Wasn't that bad money-wise..we took dads RV and stayed at Lake Manawa state park for like $20 a day. We cooked a lot. Went to every game that either LSU or Texas played in. Gambled in council bluffs a lot.

It was a once in a lifetime trip, especially considering it ended up Texas LSU and that's the teams we went to see (me LSU and my brother Texas....Dad would wear an LSU shirt and Texas hat or vice versa everyday lol)

I must say I like the first week of the CWS the best when Omaha is filled with EIGHT different fanbases... It's an awesome time.

The 2009 CWS may very well be the greatest time I will ever have in my entire life.
