LSU’s “Tradition Matters” movement will continue this week.
The Golden Band from Tigerland will be allowed to play fan favorite songs “Neck” and “Tiger Rag” at Friday’s game against Arkansas, school spokesman Michael Bonnette said.
One of the songs, “Neck,” made a return last week in a win over Texas A&M. Both were shelved years ago because of obscenities yelled in the chorus of each, mainly by LSU students.
As part of the “Tradition Matters” movement, the school allowed both to return last week and urged students and fans to abstain from yelling vulgar cheers during the tunes. “Tiger Rag” was never played Saturday, but “Neck” was played three times.

I don't get it. What is so appealing about cursing over a song in public? I'm 36 so I can't be "too old to understand". The song is badass, everyone loves it, but these jackasses decided to have it banned again. The parents of these dumbasses should ask for a full refund.

That sounded worse than I thought. Even not knowing when to come in with the first "OOOOH." Everyone OH's too early. Pisses me off every time.

Yeah it was pretty bad. Also, it should be "ayyyyyyyyyy ohhhhhhhhhh" not "ohhhhhhhhhh ohhhhhhhhhh ohhhh". The younger students have ruined Neck for me.

From the replay that I watched it did seem like the network muffled it.
