using the term "gumps" to describe bama fans

Is is befitting.
Both are essentially based on real history with generous helpings of embelishment added to create a myth.
I'm willing to bet that somewhere out there is a picture of US President Thomas Dewey (*) awarding Alabama their 1925, 1926, 1930, 1934 and 1941 National Championships (**).
When you mention "yeah, we've beat ya'll 7 of 9" to them you get bu-bu-but we got 13...we got yer coach.
Can't wait to beat these people, again, in seven days. I hate Bama.

** - as awarded by Bazooka Joe in a comic on a gum wrapper

i think both are pretty stupid. i actually think nicknames as sch for any school is stupid, unoriginal, and not funny to be honest. ole piss is prob the least funny and most overused one on this board.

I've found that they particularly dislike being called "tree-killing Gumps." It tends to hit a nerve.
