In the instance the game is moved to a different city, what happens to fans that booked flights to Columbia. SOL?

Hey man, if the game is at Legion field, you and everyone else from TD can crash at my parents house in Hoover.

I'm suddenly having memories of penny beer at some hole in the wall place right across from Legion Field.

If we play in Birmingham maybe I can have my old fraternity at Birmingham-Southern set up a tailgate for us.

If the game is moved to Charlotte, just drive the extra 1.5 hrs.

If it was that easy.. how is Nascar the problem? Charlotte Motor Speedway is 20 miles outside of town, I don't understand why the game can't be played at BoA Stadium.

I definitely like this option. I was there this past weekend for State/Louisville game. Great venue for game but not really close for some SC fans. 3 plus hours to get here from Columbia.

We're due to fly from Boston to Columbia on Friday.

Ah, well. Obviously, our hassles pale to what's unfolded down there. SC has to do what makes sense, and right now it seems like moving the game seems like the sane call.

I only looked on Hilton's site, and while the Hilton by the stadium had no availability, the Hampton Inn a half mile away had room.

If they move this to a neutral site it has to be to one that is relatively close to LSU or South Carolina so you don't have two teams/fans needing hotel rooms at the last minute.
Look at neutral sites around SC.
Charlotte is out because of NASCAR, they put a lot into this race (there's a reason the Panthers have always been on the road this weekend)
Atlanta is out because of GSt game
Cemson has a home game.
Which brings me to neutral sites around LSU.. and the Superdome. I think that's the choice. LSU fans wouldn't need hotel rooms, team could bus down early in the morning (might change gametime to 2:30)

Isn't there a NASCAR event in Charlotte this weekend? Wouldn't that cluster logistics with hotels etc..??

I'm hearing that Charlotte is out due to police being spread too thin with the NASCAR event and with the city sending police units to South Carolina to help in the relief efforts.

Baton Rouge is most likely.
