If it's in BR, the band will play the EW&F show last week for the alumni game but facing the east. It's too short notice to whip up a new show and it's already fresh in our memory.

Somebody better have the wambulance standing by because it will have a lot of Tiger Band members to pick up if they have to do that on a Saturday they should have been off.

I have word from a very good source that the game will be played in tiger stadium. Very good source. We should hear tomorrow before 2 pm, more than likely in the morning.

I was told it is a done deal. USC comes to BR.

Game in GA Dome scheduled for Saturday : GA State vs APP State

Charlotte is more likely...but Panthers have just reseeded BofA
stadium surface and planed for these next weeks to be idle...
SEC or someone would need to pay for the work to be redone...

I know it will never happen but....

They better get OFF THE POT and decide soon before its Friday morning and nothing has been done. This is just ridiculous, it should not even be a consideration, they cannot possibly handle a ball game with everything happening in and around Columbia.

I think the decision was made last night. They'll announce something this morning. My gut feeling is it will be played in Tiger Stadium and not at 11:00. More than likely, 4:00 or 6:00. I also think LSU will let Carolina keep most of the proceeds from the game. This is just a gut feeling but we'll find out soon enough.

Fox News says that South Carolina has been declared a Major Health Issue. They are close to running out of water. Some Rivers are not expected to Crest until Sunday and some more Dams could break. I think yesterday they said all the roads and bridges had to be inspected. I think like last Sunday they should have cancelled the game in Columbia and announced a new site!

From USCe CockyTalk
quote:

One of my guys from the FD just returned from a tour in Columbia. He says the Bluff Rd bridge between I 77 and the stadium collapsed yesterday. He says word among emergency officials is that there is o way to logistically handle this game. Now i can tell you that emergency officials will not make a decision on whether or not to hold a game but they will have input.
Also a major bridge leading to the stadium collapsed yesterday. I would bet my arse that there is no way in hell this game will be held in USCe stadium.

This decision should have been a no brainer from the start and their governor should have made the call yesterday during the press conference.

Since when does the governor run the USC Athletic Department?

Since this looks all but official now, I wonder how they will handle next season's game? Will they play at USC and split proceeds to even things out, or will they just call this a full LSU home game and play a USC home game next season? The only other option would be to play as planned at LSU, which would really screw the USC athletic dept over. Even if we share proceeds for this game with them, they will still lose a lot of money on the deal.

We don't play each other next year. I'm sure next time we play LSU, it will be in BR because of the schedule rotation.

USC and the City of Columbia get screwed.
