.@LSUBonnette on WWL: "If we’re asked to host this game in the next 24 hours, it’s something we can certainly do. Our stadium is ready" #LSU
2:49 PM - 6 Oct 2015
2 RETWEETS

Obviously Scar is stalling to see if the situation improves enough before then

Only other way could be if they are still waiting on Charlotte to let them know if they can play there.

Otherwise, it does seem like they are trying to wait as long as possible to see if they can still host the game, and I don't blame them.

the issue isnt the current state of roads, etc.

the issue is where are they going to get cops, security, first responders, etc. needed for an event of this size?

Are they going to pull them for rescue/recovery efforts?

No.

Cocks need to wise up and move the game... not worth PR nightmare when something goes haywire.

But Matt Moscona said everyone who thought we could play McNeese on a Sunday was complete idiot. I don't get it?

The decision whether or not to change venues has already been made. All that is happening now by the powers that be are figuring out the logistics, and most importantly (to the powers that be) how the $$ gets dispersed. Once that is done, they will reveal it to the minions. I am hoping that wherever it is played that a large % of the gate will go to the families affected by the flooding.

Could two teams of 85 players go and play WBS on Saturday? absolutely. but you're ignoring the other 99% of what it takes to host a game--thousands of workers in the stadium, hundreds to thousands needed outside the stadium, port-o-johns needed on campus that will likely be needed in areas without running water and emergency cleanup crews, hotel accommodations for visitors when citizens are already taking up space because their homes are flooded.

Big difference in one day vs 4.

They were idiots. Finding out tomorow gives them 2.5 days to get ready. They are already reaching out to resources to be on standby.

Getting a stadium reready (made up the word)would take longer as clean up and restocking would take more time.

Well in this case we'd be scheduling a game 3 days in advance (in reality 4, because they've already given everyone the heads up), in that case they'd be scheduling a game in 14ish hours.

That would have been HOSTING in 24 hours ... if they ask within 24 hours that would be tomorrow .. we'd have a little less than 72 hours to get ready. Pretty big difference.

My vote is Charlotte. We can beat USC at any venue and we see a lot of games in tiger stadium. Charlotte would be something different and fun. Plus, I'm already in the east coast waiting on a decision
