I was at LSU in 86 and good friends with Slip Watkins and Harvey Williams, and others. You're right Slip could not catch too good

If you knew that would happen, then you thought about it before you posted. If you thought about it then you knew the post was stupid. This has already been tried if you didn't know.

Meh...

If you ask the OT, his 40 time isn't all that great and half the guys there can actually beat him.

Does he have the talent to be a good FB player? Probably so, but it would be a work in progress. His height would give him an advantage as a receiver.

As fsr as his speed is concerned, he would be no better than any other elite sprinter. His start is slow and he only makes up for it during the last 10-20 meters of the hundred.

In the 100? nobody

In the 40? Many sprinters and a few football players.

Hmmmmmmmmm give up millions in endorsements to play for free. Not sure if serious.

Hasn't he been making money for years already? I'm sure he's not hurting for cash. It wouldn't be hard to see someone in that position that can basically do whatever he wants saying, "Why not, I want to give it a shot!"

I'm certainly not saying he wants to do this. I'm jsut saying, the "why would someone pass up all that money" argument doesn't really hold water.

Let's see,
Bolt has made millions endorsement's. He will make millions more without ever competing again.
Bolt is a god like hero in jamaica and all the islands. He probably gets more arse than a toilet seat and can retire to enjoy life smoking that killer island grass and tapping that arse the rest of his life.
Why would he want to work his arse off now playing football?

Great grass, lots of female company, millions of dollars, superstar and national hero- why would he leave that?

He needs to ask Les about the grass in BR.

But seriously. If it's something he has always wanted to do, what's the hurt in trying?

I'd be willing to bet the training he has been doing for the past eyars for the Worlds and the Olympics is more demanding than what he would have to do for football.

Can he still make endorsements after he does football for a year or two? No loss there, except for 2 years. Big deal.

You think this would be any different if he came to LSU and played football?

superstar and national hero

He's a superstar in his home nation and in other parts of teh world. Wouldn't hurt to have another rabid fanbase fall in love with him. He could be a star on one of the country's biggest college football teams. Mayeb paly a big role on a national championship team.

Again, I'm not saying this is a dream of his. I'm jsut looking at it as if it is and as if he would do well.

ETA: I just don't see what he would lose if he gave it a try.
