I can't seriously believe all the pious sentiments. This guy obviously let some of his assistants know a month ago, but not his players or the university. Of course, human kindness hopes that another person isn't faced with a serious illness, but really now. Saint Urban he ain't, never mind the long espn faces.

I dont understand...if it was chest pain and something to do with his heart, it takes about 48hours in a hospital to evaluate if his heart is ok. Must not be his heart in this case.

Shocking to hear, and he's fairly young too. Hope he gets better

I know people close to the program and some are saying heart problems and others are saying brain cancer. Here's an article saying heart problems

My guess was some type of cancer. Who do you think they try to pick up?

I'm guessing Mullen. My sources tell me he's the leading candidate.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if they went after Gary Patterson.

He is not headed to the Pros. The NFL is done with these so called "great" college coaches who get their butts handed to them on day one. That offense he runs would not work in the NFL. The NFL coaches are years ahead of these college coaches.

it's amazing how people translate a benign brain cyst into brain cancer

Talked to a friend of mine who is a huge Gator supporter. Word is a cyst on the brain. It will be out soon enough. Our prayers go out for him and his family.

I just heard this on ESPN and was tempted to make some smart-arse remark. I'm glad I read your well-reasoned and mature remark. I echo your comments.
