So basically I have noticed that the Tiger fans on this site seem to be 50/50 on the Miles/coaching change/philosophy topic that seems to be happening on this board. Every thread is pretty much 50/50 on the up/downvotes. Interesting trend, I would have assumed that 80% of the fan base would want Miles gone. Not the case.

You do understand that most of the "fans" that post here are a pretty dull lot.

Watch this.

Miles is the best coach in LSU history and I hope he remains the coach for at least 5 more years.

I think a lot of people understand there is reason for concern, but I also think a lot of people understand this explosion of outburst is pretty unfair.

Some people never liked miles and just sorta wait for something like this to happen to jump out say stuff like (well never beat bama and never win the SEC again) which they have been saying since 2008.

Some people are just "what have you done for me lately" kind of people. Yeah the last 2 games were really ugly. But we beat 2 very good team in Florida and Miss St earlier in the season. People weren't bitching then.

Agreed. Would you suppose the vast majority of fans, who are not on this site, would tend be lean more positive or negative when it comes to their outlook on the program?

In order to get multiple down votes you have to make this statement after a win.

I thought that post would get downvoted to oblivion.

What make you think this statement is true?

More indifferent. LSU Football does not come down to Les Miles in most people's mind, I'm obviously assuming here. It's the team you love (most like myself don't have any other team to possibly cheer for, I went to LSU for 8 years) and you cheer for them until the end of the game win or lose...then accept the outcome. We're in the mix late in the season and I truly believe that's all people see. The press that Fournette and LSU got this season doesn't go away with two loses...it happened, everyone was looking at us, and that's better than 95% of other programs get. That's good in the end. Living and dying on national championships isn't really reality, though you'd never know it from this site.

I graduated in 97 and 00, so I'm old and may be out of touch.

I don't know who you're talking to, but even in the high years, people still don't like CLM.
