I like most of you on this board am tired of the goof ups and lack of creativity in play calling and
poor QB development since 08.

Considering the contract stipulations I was wondering if it will be a good idea to bring in a young up and coming assistant coach like Dan Enos as a head coach in waiting until Les's contract runs out.

He can also serve as the sideline presence who can prevent the goof-ups like the Meerkat Offense, Multiple false starts, etc.

What are your thoughts?

Good idea, but I have no idea who Dan Enos is.

Getting a younger OC who can take over - similar to what Jimbo did at FSU - would be a very smart move.

Dan Enos is the guy who shellacked LSU's defense last weekend.

Dan Enos was the HC at CMU and is now the OC at Arkansas.

I would like Dino Babers as LSU OC if we could get him here

Why? Seems to me with the right candidate it could be a very good move. We could keep our recruiting classes largely intact while mapping out a plan to move on post-Les.

What's the problem? Seems to have worked out okay for FSU.

This is one of those thongs that's a good idea in theory but rarely turns out to practical. The current coach never wants to leave and it's hard to tell a guy, "Ok, sometime in the next 2-6 years you might get to be the head coach."

I just don't know how much longer we can take Les as our Head Coach, after the last two weeks. I was considering starting a Crowd Funding website to buyout his contract. A Head Coach in waiting isn't a bad idea.

Good idea

Agree but think Miles would not be able to let the OC have real control. Would like it more if we work out a deal with Miles to retire and jump on the first good HC we can get.

Herman is about to have his pick of the litter with all of these openings and you think he's going to come here as OC under Miles? Seriously ?

This would not matter AT ALL. This would be about as effective as hiring all new coordinators AGAIN. The staff as been overturned multiple times, and the results seem to be the same.

The suggestions to replace Miles have been comically bad.
