Unlikely Hypothetical: If LSU wins the SEC b-ball tournament

I realize that this is a long-shot and I'm just proposing a hypothetical that arose during a discussion of LSU basketball here at the office.
If for some reason LSU won the SEC tournament, would you reverse your stance on Coach Jones?
I still support the retention of Coach Jones for reasons I have already set out, but I realize that only about 5 posters share that opinion.

No. That would mean he won because every other school's team died in plane crashes and he had to play the last minute replacements.

Every team does get in. The bottom 4 teams have to win 5 games in 5 days in order to win the SEC tournament, though.

Can the coach decline to play in it? I mean, he's already proven that we're so above the NIT maybe he can prove we're above the SEC Tourney as well.

You and karralum are the same person, so that's 1. Dale and Collis probably are in favor of retention. 3. I doubt Jones wants to be fired. 4. His wife prob wants him to stay employed. So that's 5. Yeah, I guess you're right.

You may have been thinking of the baseball tournament, only the top 12 make it there. Every SEC team plays in the basketball tournament, unless they're under a postseason ban.
