I thought they always wear purple for non-conference home games.

The rule is purple for all non conference home games except the season opener, which is white no matter the opponent. And white for everything else. Nike pro combat games aside, this has been the rule in the 2000s and won't change any time soon.

Not that it really matters, but since we are wearing white, which I am glad, this should be what we look like vs McNeese. By the way, the opposite is so much worse. I mean if we were wearing Purple and McNeese was wearing white, their white uniforms are so close to our white uniforms and it just doesn't look right. I think most everyone agree's??? After all LSU's white uniforms were named the #1 uniform in the Country last year.

LSU(White) vs. McNeese(Blue)

White vs McNeese

Purple vs Eastern Michigan and Western Kentucky

Maybe purple vs Syracuse but I doubt it.

My friend (higher-up in TAF) says we're wearing the Tulane katrina jerseys from 2007 but with black helmets. TIFWIW he's usually right!

No shite?

Every year the question is asked. It's ALWAYS white for the home opener.

LSU wore purple for the 2011 home opener.

And 2004. But that was a different coach.

That's not exactly right. It's purple for all other crappy non-conference home games. LSU will wear white for any non-conference home game against a BCS conference team no matter where it falls on the schedule. West Virginia 2010 for example.

I know, but those posters were stating it like it was an ABSOLUTE thing that no matter what, LSU wears white for the home opener, which is clearly not the case if the opposing team wants to try and stroll in flexing nuts

ALL PURPLE!

Helmets. Jersey's. Pants. Socks. Shoes.

Hey, even add some cute little Purple Panti-Hose (Just like the White ones that half the team wears now) to complete the look.
