Wasn't bridgewater committed for a brief time or did I imagine that?

Good for Bridgewater because his arse would have been sitting the bench under Elmer Fudds offense

Its a good thing for Bridgewater as he is flourishing in Louisville.

He would have been a cold booger on a paper plate in this offense.

Maybe so but we would be smiling all the way to Miami.

That Northwestern HS team in Miami was an offensive explosion. I believe they were the #1 ranked team in America one of the years Bridgewater was at the helm.

They never would. LSU fans always loved dual threat QBs.

I was happy with Mettenberger as was everyone. Can't fault miles for this.
However, it wouldn't have mattered anyway. We fail at developing a QB

I would think that you wouldn't normally schedule 2 QB recruits in for visits the same weekend. Bridgewater definitely > than Mett, but could you imagine the meltdown if we would have gotten Bridgewater due to a percieved snub to Mett.

It wouldnt matter if he did sign at LSU, he'd be running toss sweeps all game. Wouldnt be allowed to throw

When we get a legitimate one, we do. Perilloux was really the last. JJ wasn't truly a dual threat. Everyone is hyped for Jennings.

Well Mett was high on a number of SEC teams radar. I thought we had really got our offense on track when we got him. Unfortunately JUCO and Sec play are definitely not the same.
Mett, Stares down recivers, lacks pocket presence, doesn't step up when pressured, Has difficulty finding secondary reciever, Doesn't seem to be able to pick up the blitz or read the defensive set. Lack mobility forozen in the pocket, Over throws open receiver on deep routes. For some reason this did seem to be an issue with his JUCO play. Other than the above issues he is flawless.

They are now that Mett is playing poorly. Just a couple months ago there were numerous threads on the recruiting boards complaining about offering a "dual threat".

You honestly think bridgewater would have the same success here?

this

the problem is coaching and development at the QB position.. although I think Mett has all the tools necessary.
