The Chevrolet badge is blurred out on the front grill but is clearly visible on the steering wheel during the inside shots.

Chevy should sue PETA.

PETA can be a little ridiculous and annoying about some issues but this one is definitely real and I'm glad they used someone like Tyrann to make a statement about it, not a lie of an ad at all

Their claims may be a little over the top, but I can't complain about this ad.
People should not leave their dogs in the car in the heat.

If the badger was going to do an ad for PETA, I am glad it is about this issue.

To those contesting the accuracy of the claims in the commercial, that wasn't my intention in posting this. I wanted to show that a former Tiger who has faced many difficulties in his life (regardless that some he brought upon himself) has cleaned up his act/life and is now a successful ambassador of the sport and every time the media gives Tyrann love, it indirectly benefits LSU. Just showing pride in a former Tiger.

Agreed. PETA is usually over the top ridiculous. They probably stretched the truth some in their claims even here but there is nothing wrong with this PSA. You shouldn't leave your pet in a car to bake especially at this time of year unless the car is running and AC on.

ETA: Tyrann is still the man

I never understood why anyone brings their dog anywhere in their car other than to the vet and back. I hate when my dog has to ride in my car, stinking up the car and sometimes throwing up from motion sickness.

how about instead of arguing against something that is perfectly rational, you just don't be a douche bag by leaving your dog in the car during the middle of july? maybe it doesn't damage your dog, but i'm sure Sparky doesn't appreciate it... if the situation were reversed, and the dog understood the misery that you were going through in a hot car. i'm sure the dog would let you out of the car or turn on the AC in a heartbeat... congrats on being lower than a dog if you think there's nothing wrong with leaving a dog in a car during the middle of july.

No shite. I'm not saying leave your dog in the car, but dogs do sweat through their paws and nose. That said don't leave your dog in the car even with windows cracked ever. Mike Vick might steal it.

Amen. Anyone that has an issue with someone (PETA or anyone else) trying to explain why you shouldn't leave a pet locked up in a hot car is just plain ignorant. By the way, it is also illegal - go look at the cop that recently left his K-9 dog in a hot, locked car - dog died after tearing apart the car trying to get out and the cop ended up going to jail for cruelty to animals.

Wow - through their paws and nose? I wonder how you would feel if the only way your body could release heat is if you could only sweat through your nose and feet. People should think before they say some things.

You mean like give false info that dogs can't sweat to play to an audience's emotions? Yeah they fricking should.

A few peta quotes, and why you should hate them too...

The smallest form of life, even an ant or a clam, is equal to a human
being.
-Ingrid Newkirk, PETA

Six million Jews died in concentration camps, but six billion broiler
chickens will die this year in slaughter houses.
-Ingrid Newkirk (PETA)
Washington Post, Nov 13, 1983

We feel animals have the same rights as a retarded human child.
-Alex Pacheco (PETA)
New York Times, Jan 14, 1989)

On leather jackets: That's the next step. You have to take one step at a
time. It was easier to start with fur.
-Dan Matthews, Director of Fur Campaign, PETA
DetroitNews, August 13, 1989

Never buy wool again. Choose only cotton, synthetics and other non-animal
fibers. The sheep are embarrassed when they are shorn, sometimes they are
nicked during the process, and they get cold afterward.
PETA News, August 13, 1989)

Pet ownership is an "absolutely abysmal situation brought about by human
manipulation."
-Ingrid Newkirk, PETA
Washingtonian Magazin_, August 1986)
