Talked a bit about the Cardinals, but most of it was about his time at LSU from recruitment to dismissal from the team to Patrick Peterson taking him under his wing. I know its a story we've all read/heard many times but I thought it was a great interview that I was able to catch on my way to class today.

Thanks for sharing.

It is surreal to hear Mathieu talk about being a Heisman finalist and 7-months later he is off of the football team and sitting in a jail cell. Glad he put it all together.

I love the person that he has become. And he has never said anything negative about LSU, even in his rough patch. Now he is a great ambassador for LSU in the NFL. Geaux tyrann!

Probably the best pure defensive football player I've ever seen. Just a man amongst boys.

With his special teams and big play capabilities, I'd say he's one of the top 2 or 3 college players I've seen play.

Definitely one of the top 5 most exciting players to watch in an LSU uniform.

I really like when he said getting kicked off the team and arrested shortly afterwards, really brought home the reality of his poor decisions - he was embarrassed of himself and let down his family, teammates, and friends -- said he never wants to feel that way again. What that said to me is: yes, he is flawed, but he is a good person and he's not too narcissistic to have a conscience. I'm proud of the Honey Badger!

In Karam's interview today he talked about how Mathieu was one of his favorite athletes to work with and how he really had hoped he would have had that one more year for people to get to know him better.

Interesting how Mathieu said he felt the inmates looking down on him/disappointed for him being in there with them.

Being that Leonard Fournette will most likely be our next Heisman candidate, I sure hope it doesn't go to Leonard's head and he can stay humble and make good decisions.

Awesome interview.

I'm so happy for Tyrann. I hope he wins a few Super Bowl rings.

Does anyone have the link to the thread when it was announced he was kicked off?
