As much as I would love it to happen, Just don't see a defensive player getting it anytime soon

but he was only a 3 star.........

Agreed, but wouldnt it be awesome for him to make the final 3.

if anyone could do it, he can
making big plays is his thing and changing games with turnovers
I think he can maybe at least make a trip for the Heisman. Here's to hoping to continued success!

He needs to average more than 2.5 yards a return before he has a chance.

I think we have yet to see his best plays, too!

If only he would have gotten an extra yard and made that a pick 6

He's not a regular defensive player, though. shite, he's almost an offensive player. But if he winds up leading LSU in tackles--which he will barring injury--and makes some of his signature plays against Florida and Bama, he could get invited to NYC.

i was thinking the same thing, man

Just getting an invite to NY (as a sophomore) would be epic.
He has gotten lots of national media attention lately though. Hopefully he can keep this badassedness up.

Its actually good his return game is a non factor here, hes getting recognition for being all over the field on D.
People who have taken interest will watch him and see how good he is at the little things, on top of being ball hawk
not gonna win obviously, but being "up there" in Heisman polls all year would be an awesome story.

Where do we vote to take this mother over?

If he can lead the #1 team in the nation in tackles and force 2 turnovers in every game against a Top 20 opponent, he should win the Heisman in a landslide.
There has not been a defensive player who impacts a game like he does since Cornelius Bennett, which is even more remarkable for a player who doesn't play a front-seven position.

There is always that really small chance but I think just having him being in the conversation speaks volumes.

I think that's a very fair list. Griffin has been unbelievable so far, but I doubt Baylor will win more than 7 games, so he will get an invite at best. Still, his current stat line is insanely good.
