esus how can you be that fricking miserable? Why even follow or be a fan if you have that shitty of an outlook [predicting 3 losses]???

Just because someone thinks we'll lose 3 games doesn't mean he isn't a fan. You can still love the Tigers but believe the team has flaws.

All "fans" aren't required to drink the Kool-Aid, you know.

And just as an fyi - I don't think we'll lose 3. I do think we'll lose 1 or 2.

If only Quinn the most accurate FG kicked in Oklahoma st history didn't miss a give me against Iowa st a team they were favored over by 35+ then Bama never gets to the rematch

Is it that unrealistic to envision a scenario where FSU goes 12-0, Ohio State goes 11-1, Oregon goes 11-1 and Bama goes 11-1 (only loss to LSU). FSU, OSU, Ore and LSU are all div. champs and have to play one more game. Bama sits at home What if FSU and LSU lose in their conf. championship games, or OSU and FSU? Does Bama jump them? I

Not saying I disagree, but this isn't new to the playoff format. For years during the BCS era and even before, the SEC and Big 12 were the only conferences playing a championship game while schools from the Big East, Big 10, Pac 10, and ACC sat idle that weekend.

Les actually welcomed a rematch against Bama in his post game interview after the 9-6 win at Bama in 2011. Just sayin...

I think we are putting the cart in front of the horse. Can we just wait and see how the team looks after a few games?

Summer is drawing to an end. It's getting close to football season. Let me go on the Rant to see what people are saying about the team this year. Sees this thread.

What do you want? With Miles, there is almost ZERO information coming out of the program. We have to smuggle in TD posters to a scrimmage to get anything more than "about 14-20. about 200 yards"

It is more than painfully clear that the rules and considerations that cover all other teams do not cover Alabama.
I do not see how that can be mistaken. The "eye test" has never been brought up before or since that infamous occasion.
We must beat Alabama to get in. Period.

Who? No one was a conference champ at that point, and no one that ended with two losses in the regular season jumped OSU, and 1-4 are all that really matter if you're referring to Stanford jumping OSU in the last week for the #6 ranking

OSU was ahead of Stanford in the final poll before CCGs, then Stanford passed OSU

You can say it doesn't matter, but the committee wouldn't have done it if they weren't going to use it for polls in the future as precedent.

I just think they're due...kinda like we are with bama. The swamp is also the toughest venue to play in IMO.

You could say aTm is due as well then to be fair. But they just suck lol

losing to florida and bama. I think those are our two losses.

I think Arkansas is the most guaranteed loss on our schedule simply because of when it is.

If you truly believe LSU gets treated like Bama, you are living on another planet. Bama gets all of the breaks and should not be. Okie State should have played, not Bama. If you reverse the outcome in 2011 I don't see LSU getting a rematch. Just my $.02 but I think a lot of LSU fans see it that way.

Ain't gonna happen.

The playoff system was put in place to prevent another do-over like gumps-2011.

I am usually pessimistic and cynical but if we are undefeated and the gumps have the one loss to us, no way in hell they get in the playoff.

I think we will have a very good team but I think it comes down to Bama once again. If we win then I think we go undefeated. If we lose then the season falls apart again. Bama just has one of the most disciplined defenses I have ever seen and I don't think they will get any worse despite guys leaving early or graduating considering how much depth they have and how good they recruit. I just think Saban has Miles in the palm of his hand. He's like the puppet master
