Pretty good effort.
I hate to be Johnny Raincloud, BUT...
One of my biggest pet peeves when rewriting well-established poems is "forced meter". The words need to fall right into place without having to backtrack so you can fit them in. Unfortunately, there are quite a few places with forced meter.
Otherwise, this is a nice job! B-
