UGA has talent but I wouldn't count on them to beat any one right now!

I don't think lsu will go undefeated. But if they do, the media will continue to ride bama nuts like in 2011...they'll pick bama over lsu for a playoff spot
if we win the sec and a one loss Bama gets in over us I might kill someone

Absolutely no way a 10-2 LSU gets in over an 11-1 Alabama. If Bama loses to LSU and doesn't win the SEC, they will still get in at 11-1
The combination of the SEC CG, head to head, and the circumstance of a coaching change after our 2 losses trumps Bama's extra win IMO. Only way it doesn't is if Bama plays a terrible game with lots of unforced errors and we appear to win as a fluke.

On the other hand, losing the spot to another non-SEC conference champion is a more likely scenario.

If we "win out" as you say it will signal the arrival of the Gorlak.

The $ says that the SEC Champion is automatically in the playoffs.

But EVERY game is a National Title game for LSU,
and that's what we should be focused on.

Alabama is next.

Idk. We would have three top 10 victories in November, plus an SEC championship win against a Tennessee team that could also be back in the top 10 by then.

And our losses could be against Top 10 Wisconsin and Top 15 Auburn. I think Auburn loses two more, though and finish 8-4.

I seem to remember an Oklahoma team in '03 that didn't win their conference but found a way into the natty game. Stranger things have happened

Like an Alabama team that didn't win their own division and got in to the title game?

Finebaum, Galloway, David pollack all said if we win out (sec champs) we are 100% in playoffs.

Florida is a better team than the Rant gives credit for being, and they're dangerous, but...there's a lot of football to be played before then.

Why the down votes? Am I incorrect? The SEC champion is in the play offs.

A scenario:

LSU wins out, AU loses to Alabama, and we beat Tennessee in SECCG. Our record would be 10-2.

College Football Playoff contenders

1. Washington 13-0
2. Clemson 13-0
3. Big Ten champs @ 12-1 (Ohio State) or 13-0 (Mich)

Those three would be a given. For spot #4...

LSU, SEC Champions, at 10-2
Louisville at 11-1
Alabama at 11-1
West Virginia at 12-0, Big 12 champions

I don't think that committee chooses LSU in this scenario. An undefeated Big 5 conference champ would be chosen. Hello WVU!
