If LSU beats Alabama, the Tigers win out and win the SEC title.

Playoff is far-fetched, but a Sugar Bowl bid seems like the destination if they do such.

We will certainly be in the playoff if we run the table.
We beat bama, then play 3 top twenty-five teams in 13 days, then win the SEC champ.

No way we don't get in.

It's as simple as if we win out we go to the playoff.

False, I see a slip up and I think it may come to Florida. Just a dangerous defense that can cash in points on any mistake.

If they win out, they're in the playoffs.. you couldn't deny the amount of ranked opponents we would've beaten or our record with a new coaching staff.. On top of all that, we would be the sec champs and conference winners.. No one else in our league could say that, and that is one of, if not the most crucial thing to the Playoff committee

We need to be cheering for Ole miss this weekend. If we were to win out, I'd hate for the Iron Bowl to determine our fate as far as winning the west goes

I don't think that playoffs would be out of the question at all. The media has rode bama's prick for so long that it's almost as if they've been propped up to be unbeatable. LSU knocks them off of their high horse and the media will be clammoring for the tigers to make an appearance in the playoffs....and rightfully so. If a team beats bama and has 2 losses or less, then they've earned the right to play the rest of the best. Just my humble opinion.

Pretty sure the SEC champion is in the playoffs, regardless of record.

We an win the next four and still not make the SECCG. Auburn has to lose another along the way.

I seem to remember an Oklahoma team in '03 that didn't win their conference but found a way into the natty game. Stranger things have happened.

Auburn still has to play at ole miss, at uga, and at bama..I don't think they go undefeated

I don't think lsu will go undefeated.

But if they do, the media will continue to ride bama nuts like in 2011...they'll pick bama over lsu for a playoff spot

I do not agree the playoff committee would put 10-2 SEC Champion over 11-1 Alabama whose one loss, in this scenario, came at LSU.

I'll echo this. We don't control our own destiny although I think Bama shuts them down.

Absolutely no way a 10-2 LSU gets in over an 11-1 Alabama. If Bama loses to LSU and doesn't win the SEC, they will still get in at 11-1. The media will be sure to help push that agenda along. Just like 2011.

With 5 power conferences and 4 playoff spots, at least 1 conference champion will get left out every year. With all of the perceived bias toward the SEC, the committee would love the opportunity to leave the SEC out one year just to prove the point, especially in a year when Bama isn't the team getting shafted.

On the other hand, if LSU runs the table with an interim coach, that would be a feel good story that would be real tough to ignore.

Bottom line: we might still make the playoff, but it would be far from a lock.
