Sorry I'm not impressed with him compiling stats in the all powerful American Conference.

Right. They're not playing dominant teams from Alabama, like Troy.

Dropped too many passes at LSU

So dumbass, do you think Quinn was the only one dropping passes? And everyone blames Quinn for the 20-13 loss against Bama, but tend to forget that we had one of the most inept QBs in the history of LSU starting. Mr. Anthony Jennings was a blistering 8/26 for 76 yards in that game. You blaming Quinn for those stats also?

To those referring the drops, Miles would never let our passing game get into any kind of rhythm, which hurt both our QBs and WRs. Then we would be forced to pass against Bama and wonder why it didn't just work. Not to mention the kid was a true freshman.

HE DROPPED A F(#KING PASS THOWN TO HIM. He is a WR. It was in his hands at a critical point of the game. Not a long bomb over his shoulder. A simple pass. He dropped it.

Les Miles, his offense and his hard-headedness is not an excuse for dropping the f*#king ball, especially if the WR in question had a HS record for catching the ball.

WRs will drop passes. Running backs will fumble. QBs will throw ints. Lineman will miss blocks. You are melting over a drop that led to a net positive for LSU

Quinn now plays in an offense that fits him perfectly. They like to throw the ball, and it showcases Quinn's skill sets and abilities.

Without having spent even a moment watching an SMU game, it occurs to me that they may not be expecting their WRs to do much downfield blocking, like Quinn was expected to do at LSU, and would likely be expected to do in the NFL.

It’s great that he’s putting up impressive numbers. But will those numbers make him a more valuable NFL receiver?

Nope, you missed the point.

I am saying that blaming Les Miles for a WR dropping a simple pass thrown to him is silly. Blaming the WR for is inability to catch the ball is the right call.

Quinn moved on and I root for him.

LSU moved on and I root for them.

What do you think his stat line would be if SMU played LSU or Alabama this weekend? He would get shut down without the defensive backs even breaking a sweat.

Because he is white? He was a 4 start recruit who holds the all time hs record for receiving yards, and was a 100m state qualifier in 5a in the state of La.

The dude can play

trey quinn had a sub 10.6 100m time in high school. though he wasn't exactly a waterbug, which is important for a smaller wr.

Exactly. Quinn gave it a shot here and it didn't work out. The coaches seemed to lose confidence in him, some of the fans turned on him, at least here on the rant they did, and when he did get a chance in a game, he seemed to be overlooked. No one should hold it against him for leaving.

I'll always root for the young man.

You can't be this ignorant

Quinn wouldn't put up the same numbers but he would still make a lot of nice plays if he played in the SEC.

Quinn was always an excellent route runner and found holes in the defense. Issue was we had difficulties passing it to our receivers consistently.

Somebody like Jarvis will get an extra checkmark because of his downfield blocking but WR's aren't getting knocked too much for being bad at it.

People need to understand it doesn't always work out as planned. Many players don't truly fit at a schools scheme, they transfer then end up having much success.

The hatred for him on here is sickening. I'm convinced people are jealous or in denial

Might want to check the Sangarin Ratings on that one. I know the AAC West is higher than the SEC East for sure.

TCU seems to be doing well on defense too, was on SMU's schedule. UCF and USF undefeated and top 25, Memphis and Navy in and out of the top 25, the AAC is legit.
