Former LSU receiver Trey Quinn is absolutely killing it for SMU in his first season of eligibility.

Quinn, Louisiana's all-time high school receiving leader, became the only college player in this century to record at least 15 receptions in three straight games, according to ESPN's Stats and Info.
Quinn, a redshirt junior, had 17 catches for 186 yards in SMU's 31-28 overtime win at Cincinnati last Saturday. In his last three games, he's caught 49 passes for 458 yards and three touchdowns to raise his season total to 773 yards and five touchdowns.
In high school, Quinn caught a Louisiana-record 357 passes for a national-record 6,566 yards and 70 TDs.
After two seasons at LSU where he started seven of the 25 games he played with 22 catches for 276 yards, Quinn saw the handwriting on the wall when LSU's 2016 signing class had three wide receivers measuring from 6-3 to 6-6.
"I went in and talked to coaches, and at the end of the day, they almost agreed with me that they're not looking for a 5-11 guy that can't run fast or jump and all that," said Quinn when he transferred. "I'm not the prototypical receiver that they're looking for."
Several major schools wanted Quinn. But he knew SMU head coach Chad Morris, who recruited Quinn in high school, and believed he would build a program despite recent poor records.
"Regardless of the 1-11 season, 2-10, I knew the potential that this place had," Quinn told the Dallas Morning News. "I knew [Morris] was being genuine and whatever he was telling me was the truth, whether it was bad or good."

Not even the best receiver on that team.

Nice. And numerous drops that blew the BAMA game.

Sounds like some LSU coaches were NOT being genuine. What a surprise.

I never understood how we kept getting great receivers here at LSU with offense that Les ran. At least Canada does get them involved with the Jet sweep

Good choice for him. Still dropped too many against Alabama.

Likely because most teams have their top DB focused on Courtland Sutton, leaving room for Trey Quinn to work.
Not to discount Quinn's contributions, but he benefits from playing opposite Sutton.
Glad Trey has found success here in Dallas.

I guess he shouldn't have quit LSU.

Everyone was happy when he transferred on here and wished him well. Now that he is blowing up at SMU , down votes... salty

We know Quinn’s good. That’s why we recruited him. Then he left. Good luck to him.

you can always grab a piece of history when you don't have to go against the best Ds. There is a reason these records don't exist in the SEC....even Josh Reed couldn't pull it off.

And 5th round Louisiana Tech Trent Taylor led last year. Doesn't mean you're the best.
I'm sure he'll do fine in the NFL but he's not going before the 4th round.

Dude was a freshman. shite our current recievers, most of whom are upperclassman drop passes all the time. To the point where they get called out by coaching staff. There have been a few receivers that came from LSU who made it to the NFL, who had issues catching passes at some point while at LSU. Dwayne Bowe, Brandon "butter fingers" Lafell both come to mind.
People are just salty that he didn't stay at LSU, but try to make themselves look better by putting "good luck to him" etc.. before they shite on him.

Good luck to him, and I hope he continues to do well at SMU. Unfortunately, I can't get his game altering several drops / alligator arms in key situations vs. Bama a few years ago that cost us big time, and too the shine off of his performance at LSU.
