I want to see Quinn run after a catch. Has he been able to do that yet? Serious question I can't remember

Why did Diarse start the year making some plays and then completely disappear?

Not sure.

I remember McShay raving about him in the Wisconsin game. About his footwork and strong hands and all that. He seems to be a very skilled wide receiver.

It does seem like he should be getting some more snaps.

Not really sure how that's relevant, since no one here is criticizing his ability to improve.

I just want to know, in this offense, why he is getting more snaps than Dupre or Diarse? I just think those two would be helping the offense more at this point.

Yes diarse should be getting all Quinn's snaps. Quinn needs to bulk up and get over his fear of being hit. It's probably just freshman jitters on his first trip through the sec, but we could use a more physical receiver in his spot.

He was terrible and contributed to costing us the game.

It does seem like he doesn't feel comfortable going across the middle. Probably ever since the Auburn game.

That'll lead to some drops.

I'd like to think that you realize how stupid that is to say.
But, apparently you're of the special breed.
Life's tough for you isn't it?

How anyone can possibly think this thread is about race is another question in itself.

Well, like you said.. contributed.

We had a lot of guys make mistakes that played a part in losing that game. We really didn't even play that well, overall. Which, for me, makes it harder to take.

We don't utilize anyone correctly who isn't a running back, oline, or Dural. I would say Dupree but he gets thrown 50/50 balls on fades only.

I'm guessing you forgot about the slant pass on 3rd down in the first quarter where Dupree dropped a ball that hit him right in the numbers? Or the play where Jennings was looking for Dupree on a slant again on 3rd down and for some reason he was blocking his man across the field?

The crucial drops last night broke our backs. Honestly, let Diarse get some run at this point.

A lot of people seem to have forgotten two seasons ago. That year, the stellar WR tandem of Landry and OBJ dropped a lot of passes. We're young at wideout. They will all improve.

I agree about Diarse playing more.

I tend to agree. Quinn is a great player who's going to finish as yet another stellar receiver in the long line of 'em at LSU in recent history, but when half of our passing game is just hurling bombs 30+ yards down the sidelines, you'd figure that the 6'3" guy with a better vertical would be starting over the 6'1" guy.

Then again, the other half of our passing game is drag/slant routes, which he seems to execute fairly well. (Last night excepted.) Maybe Dupre isn't as sure-handed as we think either? Tbh Quinn's drops haven't really been an issue looking at the whole season, last night they were rough but this is the first time that's been the case.
